Blakk Harbor dives deeper into his homeland roots with this EBM-influenced EP drawing imagery from driving around the notorious dark industrial port of Pireus in the heart of Athens. Petite Mort, literally translated as a "little death", is a brief loss of self-consciousness and in modern slang refers specifically to "the sensation of post orgasm as likened to death".
Steel-tipped Electro beats and clenched metallic snares lead the way to raging, distorted, EBM-influenced basslines through commanding night-vision drone textures, in arrangements ready to explore the borders between death and lust.

Toxic Razor and Kriistal Ann came together to form the Athens, Greece-based dark electronic duo Paradox Obscur in early 2014. As one of the few electronic ensembles to record their albums in real time, the duo are able to capture the essence and magic of the moment without the aid of sequencing and editing software. Paradox Obscur then take it all a step further, utilizing vintage synthesizers and drum machines to create their captivating raw sound. While the prolific Toxic Razor and Kriistal Ann have worked on many projects apart, it is with Paradox Obscur where their critically acclaimed talents have resulted in the release of 4 full-length albums and an additional five EPs, supported by scores of dynamic live performances all over the European map.
Paradox Obscur makes its Metropolis Records debut with the release of an explosive exclusive collection entitled "Singles & Rarities" on March 12th, 2021.
On this release, you will find tracks that are released earlier on various samplers and could not be found on any album by the band.

Anne Clark announces new album 'Synaesthesia - Anne Clark Classics Re-Worked'
For more than 40 years Anne Clark has held a unique place in contemporary music.
Over this period, she created numerous extraordinary works with which the exceptional UK artist was able to celebrate great success and recognition.
With the new album "Synaesthesia - Anne Clark Classics Re-Worked" (FDA / Anne Clark), which will be released on 28 May, Anne Clark has once again succeeded in offering her audience something very special.
The idea for "Synaesthesia - Anne Clark Classics Re-Worked" was born last year, which, apart from the pandemic, was overshadowed by Anne's cancer diagnosis.
The disruption meant looking for new ways of reaching her audience. "Live" shows and recording were no option.
So the idea developed little by little to create an album of "reworkings" of her material. These would be remakes and remixes as imagined and realised by some of the most interesting and
creative musicians, DJs and producers currently working in the electronic music scene.
"Synaesthesia - Anne Clark Classics Re-Worked" provides an eclectic mix of fascinating interpretations by both long-time musical partners of Anne, (herrB and Thomas Rückoldt) and esteemed figures of the current electronic scene including Solomun, (with whom she collaborated for his latest album), Blank & Jones, Andreas Brecht and Yagya.
The album will showcase Anne's continued and deep reaching influence over generations.
The Album will be released as Double CD Digi and also as Double Vinyl.
The CD contains exclusive new liner notes by Anne and the featured artists too.

On this day, 29 years ago (30 March 1992), Nitzer Ebb released the single ‘Ascent’. It was taken from their fourth studio album with the ironic tittle Ebbhead (1991), fifth if you like include the original self-released tape Basic Pain Procedure from 1983. ‘Ascent’ was officially released as cassette single, 10” vinyl single, and CD single with various tracks and remixes. Beside various mixes by Flood there was also ‘Anonymous Mix’ made which was actually done by Vince Clark of Yazoo. At that time, and besides the promo 12”, the only commercial release of this remix could be found only on the cassette single version.
Besides Flood, who also produced the previous two Nitzer Ebb albums, Depeche Mode’s Alan Wilder was brought in to co-produce the Ebbhead album, giving the album and it’s songs, a quite unique sound and atmosphere.

Ascent (Lyrics)
I first saw you
Without love and then you knew
Your fingers reached
I moved in the distance breached
Tell me what I'm doing here
Tell me what I'm doing here
To my surprise
I kissed you, you made me rise
Now by my side
I've missed you and let it slide
Tell me what I'm doing here
Tell me what I'm doing here
If all I ever wanted wasn't good for you
If the thing that I said, they just weren't true
Ascend, ascend my friend
I turned my head
And looked back, I had been led
When my heart jumped
We lost touch, our love had slumped
Tell me what I'm doing here
Tell me what I'm doing here
If all I ever wanted wasn't good for you
If the thing that I said, they just weren't true
Ascend, ascend my friend
I can see you looking down to keep away from me
But I'm stuck with this lack of ability
I can't refrain
From coming here
It causes pain
You're so sincere
Ascend, I must ascend
So now alone
I find out your heart is stone
A helping hand
There is none from where I stand
Tell me what I'm doing here
Tell me what I'm doing here
If all I ever wanted wasn't good for you
If the thing that I said, they just weren't true
Then don't restrain from telling me
That all this pain is good for me
I can see you looking down to keep away from me
But I'm stuck with this lack of ability
I can't restrain from coming here
It causes pain you're so sincere
Ascend
Ascend, I must ascend

Andy LaPlegua (Combichrist) reveals new solo project: LAPLEGUA and drops its debut single 'I Will Heal'!
Andy LaPlegua (Combichrist) reveals in his solo project that emotionality can be an incredible strength. LAPLEGUA is marrying dark angular elements and emotionally transports the listener to this heyday of the genre in a way that leaves the existing behind. Andy LaPlegua states about his solo project LAPLEGUA and its debut single: "LAPLEGUA is my most personal musical project to date. It gives me the freedom to write exactly what I want, and express exactly how I feel. 'I Will Heal' sits very close to home. We all have gone through massive amounts of problems over the last year, and this song is one of many stories of my own personal mental health." The release of the first single "I Will Heal" recalls future-oriented back to his origins with ICON OF COIL, but goes less into the electronic direction, and creates a spectacular hybrid between alternative new wave post-punk and eighties goth rock: "I personally chose to call the music of LAPLEGUA "alternative" music, because that's exactly what it is, and alternative to everything else I do, and an alternative to everything else out there. With inspirations from 80's goth rock, to Nick Cave and Tom Waits, I just let the beast in me completely free in the studio," describes Andy his promising new project and concludes: "'I Will Heal' might be the first you hear of my new music, but there will be a lot more in the time to come."
