First two names for the International EBM Day (De Casino, St-Niklaas, B) announced!
Last weekend, BodyBeats Productions released the first two names of their International EBM Day event that will take place for the first time in Belgium on Saturday 24.2.2018 at the splendid venue De Casino (St.Niklaas, B).
As the name and non-coincidentally chosen date (24.2) already suggest, it is the intention to celebrate and honour the electronic music genre Electronic Body Music. "Do not expect headliners like Front 242, DAF or Nitzer Ebb, but rather a fine selection of the legacy in today's EBM scene, of these bands aforementioned" said BodyBeats.
This weekend, they have put their cash on the nail and announce the first two artists!
PLASTIC NOISE EXPERIENCE (D) & PANKOW (IT)!
The German combo PLASTIC NOISE EXPERIENCE, or for short PNE, should be no strangers to our loyal Peek-a-Boo reader as this band is of the second EBM generation and was founded already in 1989. Since then, PNE has established themselves in the underground Electro / EBM scene, their releases and concerts guarantee quality and ambience.
The Italian PANKOW, founded in 1979, and thus of the first EBM generation, is considered one of the pioneers of the Italian EBM / Industrial movement. Over the years, the went through a lot of line-up changes and for several years now, Pankow chief Maurizio Fasolo has incorporated the Belgian Bram Declercq (Ex-NTRSN) as singer and stage animal.
According to BodyBeats, three more names will be added to the bill soon, so if you ask us it can only get better as we are already more than satisfied with these first two names but, of course, we are looking forward to their next announcement!

Vorig weekend heeft BodyBeats Productions de eerste twee namen vrijgegeven voor het International EBM Day event dat dit jaar voor het eerst in België, en meteen in de prachtzaal De Casino (St.Niklaas) wordt georganiseerd.
Zoals de naam en de niet toevallig gekozen datum (24.2) al duidelijk maken is het volgens de organisatie de bedoeling om het elektronische muziekgenre Electronic Body Music eens in de verft te zetten. ‘Verwacht niet meteen kleppers als Front 242, DAF of Nitzer Ebb maar eerder een fijne selectie van deze voorgenoemden hun nalatenschap in de hedendaagse EBM scene’, aldus BodyBeats.
Deze week voegen zij dan ook al meteen boter bij de vis en kondigen ze hun eerste twee gestrikte artiesten aan!

Volgens BodyBeats worden er binnenkort nog een drietal namen aan de affiche toegevoegd dus het kan alleen maar beter worden … Wij zijn alvast meer dan tevreden deze eerste twee namen maar kijken natuurlijk net als jullie, halsrijkend uit naar de volgde aankondiging!

Whenever PROJECT PITCHFORK get to play at Turbinenhalle, E-tropolis reaches its prime moments. For sure, a circle-pit in the hall or, more commonly spoken, a full grown stampede, would be an extra incentive to join but one rule never fails: wherever the Hamburg-based scene-pioneers around Peter Spilles hit the floor, they kick hard with a heart! 27 years in service and the best is yet to come! We are looking forward to it!
ROTERSAND - a lighthouse surrounded by waves of dancing bodies...! For 15 years now the ingenious team of front man Rasc and producer Krischan Wesenberg defies the surges of the raging black sea around them, continuously setting their very own unique musical accents. Intriguingly catchy at times, rough and edgy at others, their most recent work 'Capitalism TM' again provides the perfect fuel for steaming dancefloors. Basically at E-tropolis Festival we follow the rule of accepting no imitations.
For FORCED TO MODE however, it was only a question of time until we simply had to hit the override button. Master and servant are equally excited as soon as the guys step into the ring with their ultra-cool Depeche Mode tribute-set. Big hits in an excellent live-outfit - come forth to enjoy the silence!

GROUP RHODA, aka Mara Barenbaum, has just announced that she will release her third LP on Dark Entries Records, the label famous for its re-releases of classic albums and singles, and weird contemporary synth-driven projects.
The album is called "WILDERLESS" and is set to be released on 7th October on vinyl. It includes seven tracks that have been described by the label as "tropical darkwave and soft industrial", and at the same time "negating the sound of conformity and control".
Group Rhoda started around 2009, and has released two LPs so far, "Out Of Touch, Out Of Time" (Night School Records, 2012) and "12th House" (Not Not Fun, 2013). She's also one half of the duo MAX + MARA, which released its only LP also on Dark Entries, "Less Ness", in 2013.

Flesh & Fell announce their new album “ICARUS” and brand new video “SALOME”
After 23 years of silence FLESH&FELL made its comeback in 2011 with a new line-up featuring original member Pierre Goudesone and brand new vocalist Laurence Castelain. Even after all these years, interest in the band never really died out. Singles ‘Hunger’, ‘The Wind’ and ‘Emma’ became cult favorites in Belgium. The age of Youtube gave the band’s continual popularity an even further boost, steadily increasing a wider fan base around the band’s classic songs.
Over the last years they were invited to play major shows such as the Rewind Festival in Gent’s Vooruit, BIMFest at Antwerp’s Trix, Brussels’ Summer Festival, and the Out Of Line Weekender in Berlin just to name a few. In 2013 they released the album Eponyme on the German Out of Line records accompanied by remarkable video singles ‘The Devil In Me’ and ‘Tipsy’; and including the original 80s singles.
In celebration of of their 30th year anniversary and to announce the release of their new album ‘ICARUS’ (15/09/17), check out last year’s video single ‘Poker Joker’. This new album is only available on vinyl on the new Belgian independent label Lynch Law Records. 500 coloured limited edition copies will be released along with the new video “Salome”.
