THE COMPLETE SERIES AS SEEN ON SKY ARTS
ARRIVES ON DVD 6th JULY 2015
Following the success of their most recent foreign language TV drama titles, notably Gommorah, The Legacy and 1864, and the upcoming Witnesses and The Saboteurs, Arrow Films will continue to house quality Scandi shows from various European territories under their ‘Nordic Noir’ label.
These new releases will continue with the arrival of the new Swedish show, 30 Degrees in February which premiered recently on Sky Arts and arrives on DVD from 6th July 2015. Leaving the cold and snow of Scandinavia for the warm, sandy beaches of Thailand in the dead of winter is more than a dream, more than a holiday for a handful of Swedes. It’s the beginning of a life-changing adventure, a fresh start, a new life.
For the long-suffering wife of an abusive ex-pilot, it’s a chance to be treated with dignity and to taste the joys of freedom. For a lonely engineer who always dreamed of a loving family with several children, it’s the absurd plan of marrying a young Thai woman. And for an overambitious single-mother architect recovering from a stroke, it’s a possibility to relive the past with her two daughters on an island called Happiness. As their lives move deftly from one jolting event to another, they realise that while it may be impossible to completely leave their Nordic lives behind, it is possible to transcend their limits and reach satisfying moments of self-fulfilment.

With diners fleeing in all directions, mother Ebba calls for her husband Tomas as she tries to protect their children. Tomas, meanwhile, is running for his life... The anticipated disaster failed to occur, and yet the family's world has been shaken to its core, a question mark hanging over their father in particular. Tomas and Ebba's marriage now hangs in the balance as Tomas struggles desperately to reclaim his role as family patriarch.

All-Star Lineup For Sensory Records-Bound French Metal Opera Album Announced
MELTED SPACE is the creation of French composer Pierre le Pape, who bears a master degree in classical music and movie scores, here creating a modern opera that takes over the classical codes, including numerous characters, scenario, powerful orchestral arrangements and varied ambiances, all set to skilled and catchy songwriting and amazing casting. The new MELTED SPACE album, The Great Lie, features fourteen prestigious and unexpected singers, joined by seven talented guest musicians and The City of Prague Philarmonic Orchestra. Together, this cast has created an epic saga as powerful as moving, and by mixing the tradition of the classic opera with infectious heavy metal, The Great Lie promises to set a new milestone in the genre. The full cast of guests on the album includes David Vincent (Morbid Angel), Attila Csihar (Sunn O))), Mayhem), Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity), Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon), Ailyn Gimenéz (Sirenia), Kobi Fahri (Orphaned Land), Mariangela Demurtas (Tristania), Guillaume Bideau (Mnemic), Niklas Kvarforth (Shining), Sylvain Coudret (Soilwork), Adrien Grousset (Hacride), Christine Rhoades (Jeff Loomis), Manuel Munoz (The Old Dead Tree), Arnaud Strobl (Carnival In Coal), Clémentine Delauney (Visions Of Atlantis), Virginie Goncalves (Kells),
Initiated by pianist and composer Pierre Le Pape, MELTED SPACE stands as the first French metal opera boasting the air of a huge choral fresco, bringing together numerous female and male singers and musicians from the international metal scene. Powerful metal meets the refined essence of movie soundtrack-style movements the band has seduced a wide audience. MELTED SPACE's music is inspired by traditional symphonic metal but is also rooted in the black and death metal scenes, each coming to play depending on what action that is taking place within the story that Pierre is telling us.
MELTED SPACE began as an instrumental project by Le Pape in 2007, yet under the thumb of his electro-acoustic teacher, he created a universe of its own which can be described as a potential ultimate step in Dante's "Divine Comedy." The first record, 2009's There's A Place, was totally self-produced and while it was a completely instrumental album, it laid the foundations of the band's 2012-releaseed successor, From The Past, which really pushed the name further. Gathering twenty-six musicians, renowned female and male singers, From The Past received rapturous articles and one of the most enthusiastic welcomes. Following this success, Pierre didn't stop there and started to compose a mini-album entitled Between, which was released in May 2013 with Season Of Mist and PlasticHead handling French and European distribution. MELTED SPACE had gone further again as Pierre hired two internationally-known singers to interpret his songs: Liv Kristine (Leaves's Eyes, ex-Theater Of Tragedy) and Ashmedi (Melechesh). Le Pape then hired five talented musicians to go on tour with him as main support act for The Old Dead Tree's last tour in October 2013, and the motivation since has now resulted in additional tour and festival dates, and now, the most ambitious album from the collective yet, with The Great Lie.
Laser's Edge division, Sensory Records, will release The Great Lie on October 16th, 2015. Stand by for additional samples from the album and more to be issued in the weeks ahead.
Founded in 1987 by Stephen Lawrie. The Telescopes have been mining a unique anti-myopian seam of highly influential experimental, drone, noise, dream & psych for over 20 years. Their first record was a split flex-disc with Loop on Cheree Records. After a further two critically acclaimed singles for the label, they moved to What Goes On Records, where they released another two EPs and their debut album "Taste". All of which found their way to the top of the UK independent charts, gathering single of the week / album of the month status in all of the British music papers of the time. Tours followed with Spacemen 3, Primal Scream and The Jesus and Mary Chain. And it wasnt long before The Telescopes were headliners themselves. Bark Psychosis, Whipping Boy, Slowdive, Bleach, The Cranes and Ride all played some of their earlier shows supporting them. In 1990 the group appeared at one of the UKs biggest festivals of the time, The Reading Festival. They were one of the few bands that werent bottled off the stage at the event. However, the increasing violent interactions with audiences at their shows saw the group step away from their noise origins and head towards a more introspective psychedelic sound. It was around this time that What Goes On folded and Alan McGee stepped in to release the group's material from the hands of official receivership.
