ADULT. will invite six musicians from around the country into their home over the next seven months to collaborate and ultimately create an album together that resonates with a spirit of Detroit, thanks to support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
Later this month ADULT. will begin work with their first collaborator and hope that this project will build on Detroit's rich musical legacy by bringing outside musicians to experience and interact with Detroit and its community. Community interaction will consist of a comprehensive tour of the city, a welcoming party with local artists and musicians, and public performance when available. Living in downtown Detroit for over 20 years, ADULT. hopes this project will bring more positive attention to the city through the arts.
ADULT. plans to share via their social media outlets the collaborative procedure through a behind-the-scenes view of the creative process. Once complete with the collaborations, ADULT. plans to release the musical results as their sixth album Detroit House Guests on Ghostly International in late 2015 or early 2016. ADULT. believes this project will provide a rich experience for each musician and will bring favorable attention to Detroit and its cultural heritage.

Knight Foundation’s funding for the project is through the Knight Arts Challenge, a community-wide contest supporting ideas that engage and enrich Detroit.
In Cold Blood is the follow up to Scarlet Soho's 'Warpaint' album (2009). Produced by James Yuill, Graham Laybourne (Boytronic/Falco), Zanzibar Production, and the band themselves, this album is by far their strongest yet. In the coming weeks the band will be dripfeeding you more information about the tracks, artwork, and album launch shows via their website and facebook page.

Synopsis:
Vriendschap, humor en vertrouwen zijn de ingrediënten in de hechte relatie tussen moeder en zoon, Paloma en Hector. Paloma is een alleenstaande moeder die met haar 15-jarige zoon Hector geniet van een vakantie in een zonovergoten Mexicaans resort: lekker eten, drinken en hangen bij het zwembad. Totdat Hector Jazmin, een meisje van zijn leeftijd, ontmoet en voor het eerst het plezier van een flirt beleeft. Dit tot ongenoegen van zijn moeder die nog niet kan geloven dat haar zoon volwassen aan het worden is. Vastberaden hem nog even bij zich te houden, gaat zij de strijd om aandacht aan. Dit leidt tot absurde en gênante situaties.
Door middel van treffende humoristische scènes schetst regisseur Fernando Eimbcke (Lake Tahoe) de relatie tussen een moeder en haar opgroeiende zoon. Het resultaat is een pijnlijk herkenbaar maar liefdevol portret.

THE WEIGHT OF ELEPHANTS is directed by the Dane Daniel Borgman. His short film BERIK in 2010was awarded the Grande Prix at the Critics' Week of the Cannes Film Festival. A year earlier , his short film LARS AND PETER was nominated for the award for Best Short Film at Cannes. THE WEIGHT OF ELEPHANTS is Borgmans film debut and was selected for the Berlin Film Festival.

Synopsis:

THE WEIGHT OF ELEPHANTS is geregisseerd door de Deen Daniel Borgman. Zijn korte film BERIK is in 2010 bekroond met de Grande Prix bij de Semaine de la Critique van het filmfestival in Cannes. Een jaar eerder is zijn korte film LARS AND PETER genomineerd voor de award voor Best Short Film in Cannes.
