Lost treasure needn’t be found in the distant past; the 21st century hides many artists who disappeared into the great wide yonder. BC Camplight is one such example. The alter-ego of American songwriter Brian Christinzio released albums in 2005 and 2007, both gems of a certain psych-pop vintage, combining eloquent songwriting with a self-destructive bent. Christinzio certainly knew it – he’s described himself as, “the guy who blew it.”

But this sublime talent with the keening vocal and fearless approach to lyrical introspection has another chance. His new album 'How To Die In The North', recorded in his newly adopted home of Manchester, England, is a fantastically rich, stylistically diverse trip. From dramatic, layered pop to a haunted take on Sixties sunshine-pop, from blue-eyed soul to speedy surf-pop, from sparser piano balladry to psychedelic showstoppers and a grand finale that’s part Nilsson and part Broadway showtune.

Originally from New Jersey, Christinzio started playing piano aged just four, inspired by his mum’s Jerry Lee Lewis and Nilsson records and his Dad’s classical collection. Depression and crippling hypochondria clashed with captaining the football team and a penchant for boxing. Post-school, he fell in with people, “willing to go through shit to be a musician,” which saw him relocate to Philadelphia where he occasionally played live with Philly faves The War On Drugs and guested on Sharon Van Etten's album 'Epic'.

He’s already done two sessions for long-term fan Marc Riley at BBC 6 Music, which featured Christinzio’s band of Mancunians who he met at The Castle Hotel pub, a watering hole in the city centre particularly popular with musicians. Christinzio also heard John Grant’s album on the jukebox there, which encouraged him to approach Bella Union. Grant’s cocktail of depression and self-sabotage thwarted an outrageous talent, but he took his second chance. The same deserves to happen to Christinzio, a similarly outsize, sharp and funny personality with a non-conformist streak. Far from dying, BC Camplight has been reborn in the North.

The highly anticipated teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will release later this week, according to sources close to Slash Film.

The upcoming teaser will reportedly be shown in a limited number of theaters during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, with a limited number of theaters participating in a "preview" for the film.

Support for this claim has also appeared on Reddit, with one user stating a 90-second teaser trailer for the film will debut in 100 theaters across the U.S. next week. According to the source, participating theaters will show the teaser ahead of every film this holiday weekend, and at every showtime. Additionally, Disney's Big Hero 6, from the same studio as Star Wars, will be the first film shown at the earliest showtime as part of this deal.

As was previously reported, principal photography has been completed on the J.J. Abrams-directed movie, which is set to hit theaters Dec. 18, 2015. Filming began in May 2014. Episode VII is set approximately 30 years after the events of 1983's Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

The Force Awakens will feature numerous returning characters from the original Star Wars trilogy, including Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) and Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher). Actors new to the series include Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Adam Driver and Max von Sydow. John Williams will once again compose the score for the film.

Django Unchained actor Christoph Waltz might be taking on the role of iconic Bond bad guy Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the upcoming 007 movie, James Bond 24, which is poised to begin shooting next month.

The two-time Oscar-winning actor was supposedly set to play an "extremely cunning" character, and that it wasn't "immediately evident whether the part’s friend, or foe, or a bit of both." Now, Daily Mail is reporting that Waltz will play Blofeld, famous for his white cat and devious undertakings.

"Christoph Waltz is playing Blofeld in the next Bond film," am unnamed source told Daily Mail. "The tone of the 007 films has changed significantly in recent years and the producers have changed the character to fit in with the new-look 007."

Sources also say that "the new Blofeld will be just as sinister as earlier incarnations but will be more sophisticated and less ‘campy'."

Waltz's involvement in the film will be confirmed in a press conference early next month, but the site says that Eon Productions will announce his role as ski instructor Franz Oberhauser to cover up Waltz's actual role.

If the news proves to be true, this will be the first time since 1981 that Blofeld appeared in an official Bond film. Donald Pleasence and Charles Gray previously portrayed the character, who has become one of cinema's greatest villains.

Waltz joins co-stars Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and, of course, Daniel Craig. Bond 24 will be directed by Skyfall's Sam Mendes and be released in 2015

Stabbing Westward was an American industrial rock band formed in 1989 by Christopher Hall (lead singer) and Walter Flakus (keyboards, programming). The band went through several different lineups during their thirteen year career. Christopher and Walter are the only original members. The pair was renowned as the song writing team behind most of Stabbing Westward's radio hits including "Save Yourself", "Shame", "So Far Away Nothing", "Lies" and "Violent Mood Swings". After four albums that included two gold records and eight years of touring with such music greats as Depeche Mode, the Sex Pistols, Kiss, Killing Joke, Front 242, Placebo and the Cult; Stabbing Westward formally broke up February 9, 2002. The Dreaming is a reunion of Stabbing Westward's founding members. The songwriting team is back with singer, Christopher Hall and keyboardist Walter Flakus, along with the one-time Stabbing Westward drummer Johnny Haro. The band is rounded out with Deadsy / Orgy guitarist Carlton Bost and bassist Brent Ashley from Static X. The Dreaming's previous releases include the single Every Trace, from their second record "PUPPET" which climbed the U.S. rock charts in 2012. "Ugly" was released in 2007 and "Etched in Blood" was featured on the Electra soundtrack. The band toured with acts such as Trust Company, Flaw and Trapt. The new album titled Rise Again was Chris Hall's choice. He wanted to deliver an album that brought back the early Stabbing Westward sound that fans have been asking for.

Although the name Stabbing Westward is now dead and buried, the founders of the band are pleased to "Rise Again" as The Dreaming with the intense and haunting music that made them a multi-platinum band.
