Chris Burda and Martin Grimm, of Hamburg, Germany, founded the instrumental music project Collapse Under The Empire in the summer of 2008. In a short time, international magazines including Q-Magazine, Rocksound, and Clash took notice of the band and became excited about the cinematic sound of their first two albums. They appeared, for example, on the legendary Emo Diaries compilation on Deep Elm. After their psychedelic mini-album "The Sirens Sound" and the split EP "Black Moon Empire" with the russian band Mooncake, Collapse Under The Empire released the first part of their double concept work, "Shoulders & Giants" in fall 2011. With "Framgents Of A Prayer" and the new mini-album "The Silent Cry", they shorten the waiting time on the long-awaited second part of their concept work, "Sacrifice & Isolation", which will appear in November 2013.
On "The Silent Cry", Collapse Under The Empire demonstrates their facet-rich side and cover a great mix of styles in six tracks. Everything is represented, including electronic playfulness, strong outbursts, and orchestral and piano tracks. Every track generates its own voice and depth and stands on its own.
The single "We Are Close As This" will be released on March 15, 2013. It sounds like the soundtrack to a dusky science fiction film with its threatening undertones.

Isolated in an upstate, NY bedroom studio exists TSTI, a solo project by artist S. Smith described as ‘dark, hazy synthetic pop.’ Constructing musical landscapes that combine pounding drum machines with elevated melodies, TSTI stirs the echoes of his 80’s influences into a pot of contradicting emotions to establish a diverse yet familiar and powerful sound.
The genesis of TSTI began in a 2003 but did not show its face until the summer 2011 with the self-released, 4 song demo Black Envelope EP. The first 10 months of 2012 TSTI spent writing, recording and mixing his full-length release “evaluations” which consist of 9 tracks assessing those that surround him. With evaluations now unleashed, Smith is deep in the writing stages of the next installment.
