In Los Angeles the nominations for the prestigious Academy Awards are just announced, and Paradiso is very proud to announce that THE IMITATION GAME received eight nominations. This gives the film, along with Birdman, second largest number of nominations.

The Imitation Game is a powerful drama about the life and work of Alan Turing ( Benedict Cumberbatch ), the brilliant but emotionally complicated British scientist whose work helped to shorten the Second World War and thus saved the lives of tens of thousands of people.

The 87th edition of the Oscar ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 22, 2015.

Blancmange have signed with Cherry Red Records to release their new album, "Semi Detached". The new Blancmange album will be available on 4 formats: CD, Ltd Edition Deluxe Double CD, Vinyl LP and digital download and is due out on 23 March 2015. Y

Included in the album is also a cover of Can's "I Want More" from their 1976 album "Flow Motion". The album track "Paddington" will be the first single off the album and released on 9 March 2015. The album was mixed by Adam Fuest and features atmospheric guitars by David Rhodes (Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel).

"Semi Detached" is Blancmange’s 5th album to date, and the first without the involvement of Stephen Luscombe, Neils long term collaborator.

However, the loss of Panama may have even greater repercussions for Winter, who, according to USDA regulations, cannot be housed alone, as dolphins' social behavior requires them to be paired with other dolphins. Time is running out to find a companion for her before the team at Clearwater loses their beloved Winter to another aquarium.
