Depeche Mode To Release Live Concert DVD Directed by Anton Corbijn

Depeche Mode Live In Berlin to be released by Columbia Records on November 17th

Depeche Mode have announced the global release of their CD/DVD Depeche Mode Live In Berlin for November 17th via Columbia Records. Directed by their longtime creative collaborator, Anton Corbijn, Depeche Mode Live in Berlin features two hours worth of never before released, live concert footage.

Depeche Mode Live in Berlin was filmed on location at the O2 World Berlin on November 25th and 27th, 2013 during the band’s extremely successful Delta Machine Tour which saw them play to over 2.4 million people in 32 countries. Depeche Mode was touring in support of their lauded 13th studio album, Delta Machine, which debuted at #1 in 12 countries worldwide in March 2013. The CD/DVD will include not only performances of tracks from Delta Machine but also some of their most memorable and biggest hits including “Personal Jesus” and “Policy of Truth”.

The deluxe version offers a total immersion, all access experience for fans. This will include the Live in Berlin DVD, the Live in Berlin full show audio across two CDs, as well as a second DVD, Alive in Berlin. Also directed by Corbijn, Alive in Berlin includes the full live show, inter-spliced with behind-the-scenes footage, multiple interviews with the band and their fans, and a 2-song acoustic session, which was filmed at Salon Bel Ami, the oldest existing brothel in Berlin.

The package also includes the band’s 2013 album Delta Machine 5.1 mix on Blu-Ray CD. All this comes specially packaged in a beautiful lift off box that includes 5 CD mini-jackets housing the aforementioned discs and a 16 page booklet.

“Alive in Berlin is a record of Depeche Mode visiting Berlin for two concerts and the impact it has on fans following the band. Berlin has a special place in the hearts of Depeche Mode. Likewise, Depeche Mode has a strong following in the German capital and the film tries to capture the highlights of these concerts as well as that special connection through interviews with fans and bands alike,” states director Anton Corbijn.

Also available will be a double CD package of the full audio from Live in Berlin.

Soundtrack for Fatih Akin’s new film. VINYL including CD (with more tracks) release! “The Cut” is the third and last part of famous German director Fatih Akin’s triology “Liebe, Tod und Teufel” (Love, Death & Devil). The score for the film was produced by Alexander Hacke. The musician, producer and actor from Berlin became the guitarist of Einstürzende Neubauten at the age of 14 (and still is today). Since 1992 Hacke also composes film music, e.g. for Fatih Akins “Gegen die Wand” and countless other movies.

It really seems like a very bad joke but a new Ghostbusters film featuring an all-female cast is officially on the way. Paul Feig, creator of Freaks & Geeks and director of Bridesmaids, confirmed on Twitter that he is penning the film alongside Parks and Recreation writer Katie Dippold.

For years, Ghostbusters 3 has been stuck in developmental hell, mostly due to Bill Murray’s reluctance to participate in another film. However, Dr. Venkman himself recently gave his stamp of approval on an all-female Ghostbusters, naming Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Emma Stone, and Linda Cardellini as his personal casting picks.

According to SlashFilm, it’s unclear whether Feig’s Ghostbusters film will connect to the series, and no casting decisions have been made yet.

Te iconic Italian horror director Dario Argento (Suspiria, Inferno) has launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund his next film, The Sandman. It's a thriller about a serial killer called the Sandman. Iggy Pop will play that killer.

THE SANDMAN tells the story of Nathan, a young student in the city who struggles to forget his childhood trauma at the hands of the serial killer dubbed “The Sandman”. Nathan killed The Sandman (Iggy Pop) years ago, on Christmas Eve, after he witnessed the murder of his mother...until he sees the beautiful woman who lives in the apartment across the way dying at the hands of that same masked killer. This brutal murder plunges Nathan into an odyssey into the night country of his past, his dreams...and the buried secrets of The Sandman. Christmas is coming, and so is The Sandman.

In a press release, Argento said, "Working with Iggy Pop is amazing! Such an interesting and intense personality! I would not even simply say 'actor,' that does not cover it. I would rather say ‘a unique presence!'"

In a statement, Iggy said: "I have long been thrilled and fascinated by the amazing films of Mr. Argento, all of which are master works. Yes, and also compellingly strange, beautiful, and full of relentless terror. If I could play the Sandman for him it would make my life complete. I hope I have not just written my own epitaph."

The film will be scored by Claudio Simonetti, who's collaborated with Argento for decades. Scott Weiland's song "Way She Moves" is the film's title song.

On 19th November Universal releases the hilarious comedy Bad Neighbors.
