On 27th August 20th Century Fox will release the 1st season from the Americans on both DVD and Blu-ray.
A pair of deep-cover Soviet spies masquerades as a typical DC couple whose children, neighbors, coworkers & friends are completely unaware of their activities. At home, they're the stereotypical parents of stereotypical kids; at work, they pose as travel agents; but at night, they weave a web of confidants, lovers, dupes, and historical figures from the Reagan-era Cold War. The startlingly realistic plot twists force the viewer to consider the real cost of an undeclared war, what it takes to protect one's beliefs, if it's worth it, and if it actually worked for either side.

Synopsis
Geheimen kunnen dodelijk zijn in deze spannende thrillerreeks over Russische spionnen in Washington D.C. in de jaren tachtig. Philip (Matthew Rhys) en Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) lijken een normaal koppel uit de voorsteden maar zijn in werkelijkheid dodelijke KGB-agenten met een plan om Amerika ten val te brengen. Op het hoogtepunt van de Koude Oorlog moeten Philip en Elizabeth er alles aan doen om hun missie veilig te stellen en hun ware identiteit geheim te houden. Maar wanneer een FBI-agent aan de overkant van de straat komt wonen raken ze verstrikt in een zenuwslopend kat-en-muisspelletje.
Cast
Joe Weisberg (Falling Skies) schreef samen met Joel Fields (Ugly Betty, Dirt) de intelligente televisieserie. Joel Fields regisseerde de serie eveneens, en heeft een indrukwekkende cast weten samen te stellen. Keri Russell (Felicity, Mission Impossible III) neemt in THE AMERICANS de rol van Elizabeth Jennings, een getrouwde KGB-agent. Haar echtgenoot, Philip Jennings, wordt gespeeld door Matthew Rhys (Brothers & Sisters, Other Disasters). De cast wordt aangevuld met onder andere Noah Emmerich als Stan Beeman (The Walking Dead), de gevreesde buurman van het stel en FBI-agent en
Maximiliano Hernández (Warrior) als Chris Amador, collega van Beeman.

Arriving in 1981 on the Rennes scene, Complot Bronswick have never been short of good ideas : altemating music, video and performance, haunted by the shores of dreams and Russian imagery of the twenties, the group has created captivating
atmospheres. Complot Bronswick have changed with a deliberate desire to shatter an image. Even the notion of them being an elitist band is a misinterpretation for such an open group. In fact the role of Complot Bronswick was not to create a rigid world but to open up and accept the confrontation of différent worlds, generating new emotions. The human structure of the group fluctuates and there can be anything from two to ten people on stage at any one time. The only real constant is the poetry and the emotion which is given out at each concert, a certain idea of freedom.
For the first time ever the Complot Bronswick 1984 debut album is reissued on vinyl. Mixing play with heavy post punk and cold wave sounds ‘Maïakowski’ was written in 1983 as a tribute to the Russian poet of the early 20th century. With Norma Loy, Clair Obscur, End Of Data, Complot Bronswick was one of the best band of the very fertile French cold wave scene.

After their critical acclaimed debut album Complot Bronswick released their second opus in 1985. ‘Dark Room’s Delight’ is now reissued for the first time on vinyl. With a more polished but still powerful sound ‘Dark Room’s Delight’ is definitively the best album of the band and could be seen as the French answer to the records of X-Mal Deutschland, The Danse Society, And Also The Trees.

Muriel is schoonheidsspecialiste én een zeer grote fan van de superpopulaire Franse charmezanger Vincent Lacroix. Ze is dan ook compleet overdonderd als Vincent in het holst van de nacht voor haar deur staat op zoek naar hulp. Hij moet dringend af van een heel bijzonder pakket in de koffer van zijn auto: het lichaam van zijn overleden vriendin. Even before Colette and Hannah Thurlow wrote their new album, the London-based sisters’ atmospheric, imaginative and thrilling vein of rock music under the name 2:54 was already a force to be reckoned with. But the events that tested their commitment and resilience have upped the ante, to produce the magnificent drama and beauty of The Other I.
From the expansive, tempo-shifting opener ‘Orion’ (recently premiered online), and the pining roots of ‘The Monaco’ to the ambient haunts of ‘Tender Shoots’ and the shape-shifting tour de force of ‘Raptor’, the album significantly widens the net beyond the achievements of 2:54’s self-titled debut. The Other I is all the stronger for Hannah and Colette’s hands-on approach to production while Colette’s lead vocals show a striking versatility. The album’s emotional terrain has been carved from circumstances out of their control but equally their sisterly bond.
As Colette explains, the album’s title was inspired by a favourite poet, Percy Shelley, “a rousing romantic, politically charged, a proto-punk of sorts. He called his friend and muse Elizabeth Hitchener the ‘sister of my soul, my second self.’ These lines kept returning to me last year and from there I arrived at ‘The Other I’. The Other I is an enquiry into the duality of the human experience - the division between the self that pounds on like a juggernaut in your head, and the self you present to the world. The idea extends to Hannah and I, to our sisterhood. We know intrinsically what the other thinks and feels, music is just another language we use to communicate.”
Written in Paris and London, the album was recorded at Bella Union’s East London studio before the Thurlows and Alex Robins decamped to North London’s Fish Factory to complete it alongside co-producer and mixer James Rutledge, who's worked with the likes of Radiohead and Fever Ray. ‘In The Mirror’ and ‘Sleepwalker’ are cited as key entry points to the album’s core values, while lyrically ‘Orion’ sets the scene for the album’s adventures. ‘Raptor’ is the album’s brilliant finale, with its simmering intro, hypnotic flow, thrilling coda and rallying mantra: “Calling, I'm calling, I’m calling, I can hear it / You don't know us / One more turn and then I'll go / The end, the end, the end is close.”
