Over the past 25 years Red Hot has changed the way people think about great composers such as Cole Porter, Tom Jobim and Fela Kuti, as well as raised money and awareness to fight AIDS around the world. Now, Red Hot has joined forces with the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) and Sony Masterworks to pay tribute to one of the greatest composers of all time—J.S. Bach.
The idea for the project was simple, explore the way Bach’s music has influenced modern musician’s and allow audiences to adjust their view of classical music by seeing Bach through the lens of many other genres. These recordings re-think Bach, much in the way that artists have perpetually reinterpreted Shakespeare by adding contemporary touches while remaining true to the integrity and beauty of the original. This approach is true to the way current indie rock and serious musicians are studying, performing and composing new music that transcends labels such as “classical” or “rock.”
The iPad App allows users to listen and interact with Bach’s music in a totally new and immersive way.

SYNOPSIS:
A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock our nation, American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that's as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds. Worship The Sun is an apt title for the second album from the LA-based group Allah-Las, the follow-up to their self-titled 2012 debut. Refining their fusion of West Coast pop, garage rock and roll, Latin percussion and electric folk, the Allah-Las' sound is steeped in the rich musical history of Los Angeles, drawing on the Beach Boys, Love and The Byrds. But it's delivered with a thoroughly modern touch, with songs that paint a portrait of LA today in all its glorious diversity.
While their debut album was shaped by time spent on the LA live circuit in its clubs and dive bars, Worship The Sun is more of a studio record. The band says, "We approached Worship The Sun more as an album, with the songs all built out of the same material and feelings. More of the songs on this record were written individually and then arranged collectively." Its sound is more experimental, too, with all four members of the band taking on lead vocals and playing a broader range of instruments, including piano, steel pedal guitar and vibraphone. The album was recorded in a few different locations around Los Angeles with Dan Horne, Nick Waterhouse and the band themselves on production duties.
Worship The Sun will be released on Innovative Leisure, the LA label also home to Nick Waterhouse and Hanni el Khatib.

Heel have spent last year tirelessly touring their self-titled debut release, cementing an international fan base in the process. And that’s not just social media metrics talking; despite still being an upcoming name, Heel - completed by guitarist Dan, bassist Yuta and drummer Tom - saw their 2013 touring schedule incorporate a successful headline tour of Japan.
Temporarily hanging out their touring britches in early 2014 to focus on creating a follow-up release, Heel found themselves once again working alongside SikTh vocalist-cum-producer Justin Hill to create Sophomore E.P, ’Stranger Just The Same’. “Justin always describes us as “Retro” cos we write all our stuff together with a guitar, a pen, and a pad, and then work it out as a group, before we ever involve the machines,” laughs vocalist Maggie. “We believe that reliance on technology slows you down creatively. We want to be thinking about where we want to go with a song artistically, not get bogged down in all the production stuff that will inevitably come later on anyway.”
