Covenant are announcing a next limited edition single of their current album release “Leaving Babylon”, which – despite popular competition - still ranks nr. 1 in the German Alternative Charts (DAC) this week.
The single track will be Ignorance & Bliss, one of the strongest tracks of the record yet. Apart from the usual A-side mix by Covenant, some very high profile remixers are working on the track as we speak. Phase two of the rocket launch commences in March 2014.
Tom Hanks? Isn’t that this dull actor who’s showing up in Hollywoodmovies without any message? We guess so but when he’s in a movie directed by Paul Greengrass then it’s getting different. Most critics are raving about Captain Philipps and are putting the movie in their absolute A-list of 2014.
The film is based on A Captain’s Duty by Richard Phillips and it’s about a ship which is hijacked by some dangerous pirates. The trailer which is presented by Sony Pictures Releasing Belgium looks promising!
« Mort à Vegas » (« Death in Vegas » in French…) is the new 12’’ E.P. by Adrien Viot aka AV, one of the finest protagonist on the new 'frenchy but chic' electronic pop scene.
AV sings the nightlife, paid sex, alcohol over-consumption, desire under the neon lights, dark side of the american dream, driving a black Cadillac drunk to death….
This 12’’ EP contains a dreamlike remix of « Mort à Vegas » by DEATH IN VEGAS (as the track was probably written with him in mind!) but also a cover of French singer Dominique A, known in France for being the one who launched the « new French scene » that drove the renewal of the French Pop.
AV has still this elegant crooner voice that slowly caresses you before driving you on the dancefloor, so let his deep voice and those melodic synths & guitars seduce you.
Arrow Video’s label ArrowDrome is pleased to be releasing Lust in the Dust, available for the first time on DVD in the UK. Starring the inimitable Divine, iconic star of John Waters’ Pink Flamingos and Hairspray, Lust in the Dust is a cult classic from director Paul Bartel (Death Race 2000, Eating Raoul) and will be released on 16th December.
Synopsis:
The sun beats down hard on the town of Chili Verde, New Mexico – where temperatures flare and passions reach boiling in the midday heat. The locals spend their days downing Tequila and breaking bottles over heads… and that’s just the womenfolk!
When Abel Wood, an enigmatic lone cowboy type, comes riding into town, the locals immediately suspect that he has come in search of the legendary buried gold. Quick on the draw and tall in the saddle he may be, but Abel faces stiff competition if he’s to get his hands on the prized booty.
From the legendary Paul Bartel, Lust in the Dust is a treat for both fans of Westerns and lovers of John Waters-type subversive humour, featuring the inimitable Divine (Hairspray, Pink Flamingos) in a typically larger-than-life performance; whilst Tab Hunter, in the role of Abel, delivers a sharp-shooting, gun-toting turn worthy of Clint himself.
Special Features:
