Norway's electro duo Kant Kino are back with a new video and single from their successful "Father Worked In Industry" album. "Ich Liebe Katarina Witt" is the newest single taken from their sophomore album and is about the German figure skater and model Katarina Witt who won two Olympic gold medals for East Germany (at the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics and in 1988 at the Calgary Olympics).

So far history, as Kant Kino now released a video clip for this song to promote their newest 5-track single "Ich Liebe Katarina Witt" holding 4 revamped mixes plus a club bonus with "Dance For Me K.O.M.A! (Komafest Edit)".

The pre-order of the "Ich Liebe Katarina Witt" EP via Bandcamp includes an immediate download of 2 tracks in the high-quality format of the buyer's choice (MP3, FLAC, and more). They will also get the complete EP the moment it's released.

Let's start with MRDTC.

Who are they, you say? Well, this is how the story goes....

MRD (Mr. Dupont aka Christoph Lemke) and TC (Tino Claus // Amnistia, Neukampf) sat in a golden Opel Omega, listened to some tunes and had some beers - festival mood…

Some weeks ago TC did some guestvocals for the "Retro Disko" album by MRD's project MR. DUPONT. While listening to this track ("Daily Monster") they decided to found a new project. MRD suggested to use the initials of their names for the project. The idea was good and because of the heat and the beer they didn't thought about the name any longer.... MRDTC was born…

In October 2012 MRDTC gave their tracks the head head of the emmo.biz label (Germany) and some days later they had a recorddeal resulting in the release of their splendid debuut album '#2 [We Transfer]' early 2013.

The Danse Society were a very special band formed in the early 1980’s and hailed from the Goth heartland of Yorkshire. After their highly regarded album "Seduction" on their own label Society Records, the band signed to Arista Records and released this the excellent "Heaven Is Waiting" album. It's their most complete and accomplished album.

During the eighties, the Danse Society created a reputation for lush and atmospheric sounds that separated them from the rest of the gothic scene at the time. The innovative and creative use of keyboards was the element gave the band their distinctive sound. This 15 track collection includes the original UK LP version from 1984 and 4 bonus tracks.

The singles "2000 Light Years From Home" and "Heaven Is Waiting" are featured and 3 of the bonus tracks are taken from the original cassette version of the album. The CD features the original ‘Heaven Is Waiting’ LP cover along with the other sleeves from the Society Records period.
Sleeve notes have been written by Danse Society keyboardist, Lyndon Scarfe and also included is a complete discography of the band.

Director Paul Greengrass did it again. This highly acclaimed director who made gems like United 93 or the Bourne-trilogy is now telling the story from the hijacking of the American cargo Maersk Alabama by Somalian pirates. The film focuses on the tension between captain Richard Phillips (Tom Hanks) and leader Muse (Barkhad Abdi).

Apart from the trailer which you can see below, Sony Pictures Releasing Belgium is offering us an exclusive video in where Barkhad Abdi is telling how the filming was like, what he thinks about pirates and of course how it was to work with Tom Hanks.
