Many fans hoped for it, but the die is cast: Diamanda Galas , the unpredictable American artist with Greek roots and exceptional vocal cords plays a concert in Belgium. Seventeen years after she played at Gravensteen (a castle in Ghent) , she returns to Ghent on 20th April 20 to play a gig at De Handelsbeurs.
Galás will bring her solo tour Death Will Come and Have Your Eyes which consists of a selection of her best songs and quirky arrangements of Jacques Brel tracks.
Tickets cost 22 euros in advance and 25 euros at the box office.

On 11th March 11 the new album by The KVB is out. The title is Of Desire, and the album will be released on Invada Records and is available as a digital download, CD and vinyl.
Six years ago The KVB was just a hobby project, but now Nicholas Wood and Cat Day are one of the leading indie shoegaze bands of the moment.
After four albums and many tapes and EP’s The KVB is on Invada Records, the label of Portishead producer Geoff Barrow who was so impressed with their synth sound that he introduced the duo to record everything in his studio. The new album was produced by Sonic Boom of Spacemen 3.
Something to look forward to, The KVB will played on 12th April 12 with Dear Deer in the Brussels at Beursschouwburg.

2016 seems to be a tragic year for music. On Monday the music was in shock with Bowie’s death, and only a few days later we get the ominous news that Colin Vearncombe (better known as Black) is involved in a serious car accident. The Irish singer who scored a worldwide hit in 1987 with Wonderful Life is in a coma and according to BBC sources in a critical condition. Colin Vearncombe is world famous as Black, but he made under his real name 15 albums.
Er komt geen einde aan de tragedies in 2016. Maandag raakte de muziekwereld in shock door het heengaan van Bowie, en amper een paar dagen later is er het onheilspellende bericht dat Colin Vearncombe (beter bekend onder zijn artiestennaam) bij een zwaar auto-ongeluk is betrokken. De Ierse zanger die in 1987 een wereldhit scoorde met Wonderful Life ligt in coma en volgens BBC-bronnen in zeer kritische toestand. Colin Vearncombe is wel wereldberoemd als Black, maar hij maakte onder zijn echte naam reeds 15 platen.
