The Sony warehouse that was destroyed by fire last night was also the main distribution warehouse for many Independant labels.
PIAS have issued the following statement: "There was a fire last night at the SonyDADC warehouse which services the physical distribution for PIAS in the UK and Ireland. PIAS is working closely with SonyDADC who are implementing their emergency plans. PIAS's UK offices in London and all other areas of our business are unaffected. More information will be communicated shortly to all our labels and partners"
PIAS is the main distributor for a large number of indie labels. 4AD, Warp and Beggars Banquet may also be affected.
This could prove catastrophic for some releases where promotion work has been done but the physical product has been destroyed and can no longer be delivered.
Our thoughts here at Peek-a-Boo are with all those who have been affected by this mindless violence.
Let’s make it short: the Swedish band Agent Side Grinder is certainly (one of) the most interesting 80’s influenced contemporary bands.
When most of the "post punk revival" bands more or less copy and paste the godfather’s songs, Agent Side Grinder reflects the roots and spirit of the early 80’s, with their own personal style, mixing Post Punk and No Wave with Krautrock, early Industrial, and electronic experimentations.
The "Industrial Beauty" compilation is the best way to (re)discover Agent Side Grinder's indispensable music and universe.
"Industrial Beauty" contains 2 CDs and 18 tracks.
CD1 is a selection of our best studio tracks, picked from our two official album releases.
Expect songs such as "Die to Live", "Life in advance", "Voice of your noise"...
CD2 is a live album, previously released as the cassette "Industrial Beauty".
This CD truly captures the live frenzy of Agent Side Grinder. To complete the package, CD2 also includes two tracks from the experimental album "The Transatlantic Tape Project".
Industrial beauty" is the perfect introduction to the unique sound of Agent Side Grinder!
Kscope is pleased to announce Falling Deeper, the stunning new album from Anathema.
Falling Deeper continues where the acclaimed 2008 album Hindsight left off.
The album features brand new arrangements of songs with full 26 piece string section and haunting melodies from the band’s earliest days as pioneers of heavy music.
The album will be released on 5th September on Kscope.
In our series from new bands you better keep an eye on, we presenting you Hazz(art).
Since they released their debut single "Hocus Pocus" in 2009, lots of things have happened for this band from Münster who are describing themselves as a harsh electro band.
Another band who's sounding like Suicide Commando?
Well, they might have remixed their "Hellraiser" and you can bet lots of money on it that Johan must be one of their heroes but this doesn't take away the fact that Hazz(art) have something to offer themselves.
Hazz(art) is the aggrotech-project from a man called Cracx and that he has much more to offer is proved in his other projects.
Tanzradar is his EBM/Electropunk-outfit, Hum/Drum the power-noise outlet while ZeroGap gives him all the excuses to come up with synthpop.
Indeed a musical chameleon to watch out for.
The industrial_alternative music project from Barcelona DE_TOT_COR releases the digital single "Mädchenliebe".
It can be downloaded for free at their Bandcamp-page.
It includes the original version of "Mädchenliebe", the Hydrocyanic remix of that track, and a hidden cover of a rock song.
The song "Mädchenliebe" has already been released in some well-known compilations (Endzeit Bunkertracks, Extreme Lustlieder 4) and it has become a club-hit in many dark dance floors. Now is your chance to get it for free!
DE_TOT_COR also announces the release of the first full-length album. It is planned for October 2011 and it is going to be called "Gothic light".

It will be mastered by Jan L. at X-Fusion Music Production.
