Mannequin and Desire Records are announcing the release of the new effort by The Present Moment, entitled Loyal To A Fault.
This new record is a collaborative effort between Scott Milton and Philipp Munch of The Rorschach Garden.
Based in Los Angeles, The Present oment explores a relatively dynamic pop territory, still opened to new musical tendencies and new sonorities without loosing cohesion.
Scott Milton's rich sense of composition gives to the arrangements a radical and unique feel, somewhere between the narcoleptic twist of The Sisters of Mercy, the regular addictive density of Front 242 and the touching goth- dramatic sense of Colin Newman or Asylum Party.
A pretty personal matured sound signature which will certainly provoke visceral, exceptional effects on the revival of the electro-cold wave pop movement.
This year, Scott Milton's live band played with a handful of notorious figures of the synth- minimal cold wave circle such as Light Asylum, Salem, Gatekeeper, Iron Curtain, Legendary Pink Dots, Soft Metals just to name a few…

If you live in Belgium, it's obvious you have your ticket for their Antwerp-show at 16th September, but there's good news for the North-American fans as well.
The band has announced the first leg of their Automatic Tour for 2011.
Part 2 of the tour will be in February-March 2012.
VNV Nation have also announced that Straftanz will accompany them on this tour.
Metropolis Records will release the new Straftanz album "Mainstream Sellout Overground" on September 20th.

Warp Records will release a limited 12" coloured vinyl single for the track My Machines, the newest single from Battles.
The track features vocals by synthpop pioneer Gary Numan.
The single is taken from the latest Battles album Gloss Drop which was released this year, also on Warp.
Relapse Records will release the brand new solo album from prolific musician and writer Chris Connelly (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, The High Confessions).
The new album, titled "Artificial Madness", was recorded this past May at Engine studios in Chicago with producer Sanford Parker.
Joining Connelly for the recording and adding to his distinctive vocal and guitar work was Noah Leger (The Karl Hendricks Trio, The(e) Speaking Canaries, Head of Skulls) on drums, Will Lindsay (Indian, Nachtmystium, Wolves in Throne Room) on bass, and Dallas Thomas (The Swan King, Circle of Animals, Asschapel) on guitar.
The title Artificial Madness is a reference to today’s insane reliance on needless technologies that has turned humans into head-hung, shuffling zombies.
Connelly describes the release as "an adrenaline rush of paranoia, drawing on my history with bands like Ministry, Killing Joke, and The Damage Manual while retaining the melodic sense. It’s a statement against the way music has become a flaccid Eagles/Fleetwood Mac nightmare with no one fighting or asking questions anymore. It’s time for a revolution."
Artificial Madness will see a Fall 2011 release date.
