Of course it was to be expected , when we announced the US tour of The Cure, but today Robert Smith and his entourage announced an European tour. In total there will be 30 shows in 17 different countries.
The Cure Tour 2016 consists of Robert Smith , Simon Gallup , Jason Cooper, Roger O'Donnell and Reeves Gabrels. According to the official Cure-site they will browse through 37 years of Cure songs and play a set of hits, some rarities, favorites and even some unreleased material. Indeed, a vague definition, but definitely worth a check mark in your diary! Just as in the US, The Twilight Sad will be the support.

Het was natuurlijk te verwachten, toen we de Amerikaanse toer van The Cure aankondigden, dat Robert Smith en zijn gevolg ook naar Europa zouden komen. In totaal zullen er 30 shows in 17 verschillende landen zijn. In België wordt dat op 12 november in het Antwerpse Sportpaleis. Klik hier voor kaartjes.
The Cure Tour 2016 bestaat uit (natuurlijk) Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Jason Cooper, Roger O'Donnell en Reeves Gabrels. Volgens de officiële Cure-site zouden de doemdenkers grasduinen in 37 jaar Cure-songs en een set spelen van hits, een paar rariteiten, favorieten en zelfs onuitgebracht materiaal. Inderdaad, een vage omschrijving dus, maar zeker een kruisje in je agenda waard! Net zoals in de VS, zal ook in Europa The Twilight Sad het voorprogramma verzorgen.

The names Porta Nigra already announced were pretty impressive: Zwarte Poezie (only Rotterdam), the industrial project Imminent by Olivier Moreau, Synapscape, Ordo Equilibrio Rosarius, Rome and Sophia.
Now you can add to that list, Deutsch Nepal who this month will release their new album (Alcohology).
The tenth edition of Porta Nigra will be held on 4th March (Rotterdam, De Baroeg) and on 5th March (Aarschot, JH De Klinker). Do we need to add that this is a concert tip?

In 1989 Bill Leeb (Front Line Assembly) and Marc Verhaegen (The Klinic ) founded Noise Unit. After two albums ( Stategy Of Violence and Decoder) Marc left the band and was replaced by Rhys Fulber , who is also part of Front Line Assembly, and who produced Strategy Of Violence.
The name Noise Unit is perhaps somewhat forgotten , but today you still can find songs like Corroded Decay, Assault , Carnage, Kick To Kill or Hollow Ground in the playlists of DJs who are not afraid of some EBM.
Mindphaser.com (the label of Front Line Assembly ) reports that the first two albums of Noise Unit will be released on vinyl in February. The songs have been remastered , and in addition there are some bonus tracks!
