Pureland is Silverbird's debut album and is released on September 18th 2015.
Songwriter Tim Barr founded Silverbird after spending several years on New York's vibrant music scene playing gigs as part of Lana Del Rey’s band, opening for The Blow, and studying and playing with Dizzy Gillespie’s pianist protegee Mike Longo.
Barr and English producer Kristopher Harris recorded Silverbird’s debut EP 'Surface Life', released in May 2014 to critical acclaim. Joined by Corey Davis on bass, Dan Whaley on lead guitar and Jacob Schuab on drums, Silverbird were soon selling out venues across NYC. With influences as diverse as Wilco, Heartless Bastards, and Sparklehorse, their music strides fearlessly through an ever changing emotional landscape. Infectious melodies and swirling, intricate rhythms combine to provide an absolutely enchanting soundscape.
2015 has already been incredibly busy for the band. The year started with two packed shows at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar and Black Bear, with many more shows and a tour to come. The track 'With the Spirits' from Surface Life was selected for the All Saints spring playlist and the song will be played in their 110 worldwide stores for three months. Tim is also featured on the packaging for Cakewalk’s Sonar Artist production software.
After the ground-breaking release of 1990's "Love's Secret Domain" album, Coil were not dormant; the main project was "Backwards", which was started in 1992, updated considerably between 1993 and 1995, and transferred in 1996 to New Orleans, where it was finished in the magic of the Nothing studios of Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). The album saw the fruition of Jhonn Balance's recent vocal coaching, producing haunting, passionate vocals, while reaching new heights.
23 years after its initiation, these tracks have been beautifully preserved by Danny Hyde and are finally available in highest quality audio. Differing substantially from the later, remixed incarnation, "The New Backwards" (2008), "Backwards" contains the original versions of Coil's much-loved tracks; 'A Cold Cell' and 'Fire Of The Mind', which have appeared on various compilations over the years, and are now presented as originally intended.
This album is the essential bridge between "LSD" and the later "Musik To Play In The Dark" series. It is an essential conduit, to understand the journey that was taken. It was to be released... it should have been released... but because of issues with grey men it wasn’t. It is now, so enjoy. (Danny Hyde).

V FOR VIOLENCE releases a follow-up album ”The Book Of V” to it’s 2009’s debut ”The Cult Of V”.

So far V FOR VIOLENCE has released two free track downloads on their website campaign: ”What The
Fuck!” and ”Like It Like That”. The first official single ”The Hated Saint” with a music video was also released recently and was premiered on Finland’s biggest music magazine Soundi’s site. The second single "The Downfall Pt. II: Amourageddon" already found it's way to Finnish radio and the music video was premiered on Kaaoszine.fi
The album was mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, The 69 Eyes, Negative), mastered by Svante Forsbäck
(Sunrise Avenue, Amorphis) and recorded and produced by Anzi Destruction. Featuring artists on ’The Book’ are Olli Vänskä (Turisas), Tommi Salomaa (ex-Wankers of the Zoo Crew), Anna Grundström (Milargo) and Mr Bunny with his bandmate Nooz (Cold Cold Ground {RIP}). ”The Book Of V” will be released August 28th 2015 via Inverse Records.
”The album sounds groovy and aggressive, yet melancholically melodic and on top of the basic rock band sound we used a lot of industrial sounds (NOT meaning Disco-ish here), samples, pianos, barrels and strings to create a cool combination.”, says Jarkko
Like the music, also the stories are about breaking both face and heart, and filled with metaphoras from religious writings to straight-forward ’punch in the face’ approach, which may give an extra depth for a listeners mind to dwell into as well as something to listen to when they want to break something.

Written and produced by Connelly and Novak at Cracknation Studios, "Corporate_Sting" lives low on the log of the seedy underbelly of society, taking aim at the exploiters, the thieves, the dealers and the corruptors, cranking up the heavy drums and the dirty bass while raising the ghost of classic Wax Trax!-era sounds, bathed in future horrors and catastrophe.
Album includes a guest "memo" written by Duane Swierczynski, published author of "Severance Package", "The Blonde" and a writer for the monthly Marvel Comics series Cable, plus photography by Black Pearl Photo.
