After years of releasing albums and performing overseas, Mechanical Cabaret makes their longawaited North American debut with the greatest hits collection Selective Hearing! Formed in 1999, Roi Robertson and Steve Bellamy combine a heady mix of industrial-strength electro, memorable melodies, slamming beats, acidic synths, sci-fi soundscapes, and throbbing bass, along with Roi’s lyrical observations on the darker side of life — all delivered with a deadpan dose of sardonic punk attitude and British black humor.
Mechanical Cabaret has been making records and touring for 13 years, releasing four albums and several singles. Selective Hearing provides just a glimpse of the band’s illustrious history, from “Nothing Special” off the band’s 2002 debut to the mega-club hits “See Hear Smile” and “Disbehave,” from the follow-up album Product for Your Insecurity.
The year 2009 brought Damaged Goods, Mechanical Cabaret’s breakthrough release. The duo stepped out of the clubs and into the mainstream with songs like “In Loving Memory,” “Careful Careless,” and “GBH.” Damaged Goods maintained the band’s signature analogue sounds and British dark humor, but showcased more mature in-depth songwriting.
To round out this release, Mechanical Cabaret has added “Why So Serious?,” the first new track from the band since 2009. Overall, Selective Hearing is a great introduction to the North American market and a precursor to what lies ahead

Epic, catchy, mesmerizing… “You Walk Away”, the new single from Berlin’s Gothic-Pop-institution Blutengel hits the emotional bull’s eye. Atmospheric arrangements, solid electronic beats, a melody that instantly sticks with the listener and the theatralic interplay of the strong voices of Chris Pohl and Ulrike Goldmann add up to a highly delicate piece of sonic candy that you cannot help tasting again and again.
“You Walk Away” sounds monumental in such a self-assuredly cool way that it is nigh impossible not to instantly fall for this epic hit tune which makes it the perfect appetizer for the band’s new album which is scheduled for release in February and will be aptly titled “Monument.”
The single contains the title track in two versions, the hit-laden b-side “Königin der Nacht” and a fragile and emotional remix of “Ein Augenblick.” The vampire’s ball is on and Blutengel invite you to their dark, wicked and yet also irresistibly beautiful world!

The apocalypse originates in Mexico! On December 7th, Hard Electro pioneers Hocico unleash „El Último Minuto”, their most aggressive sonic onslaught to date. Available as a regular 1-CD-version, deluxe double CD and deluxe fan box with an assortment of red hot goodies, limited to 666 copies.
What music will you have playing in your final minute? That is THE essential question that we all have to ask ourselves, facing the end to come. As usual, the answer comes from Mexico and is a rabid, loud and aggressive kick in the eye: according to Hard Electro pioneers and sonic enunciators of the impending doom Hocico, everything will end with a bang of beats, anger and bass. Dance to the apocalypse, baby, ‘cos tomorrow all might be too late! Meaning: the new Hocico-album is harder than anything Erk Aicrag and Racso Agroyam have unleashed out of the bowels of their internal hell unto the world so far. Those who are familiar with the lads will know that hidden away in the heart of the inferno there is always a core of club-compatible rhythms, far out sounds and utter addictiveness. And for those who wish to spend more than their final minutes with the most apocalyptic electronic sounds since the invention of the synthesizer, „El Último Minuto (Antes de que Tu Mundo Caiga)“ will hit shops not only in a regular album version, but also as a deluxe double CD with a second disc of sonic mayhem. We also have something special in store for the diehards and Mexico-fanatics: the ultimate fan box! It will contain not only the deluxe double CD but another disc titled “Prophecy Of Hate” which sports some rare tape tracks from the group’s early days. And the best thing is: it is exclusive to the box! And why should the Mexican apocalypse be limited to the ears when we can have you experience it with your entire body? Hence, we are also including a red hot, real Mexican-made sauce and chilli flakes “made to spice you up” for a fiery start into the day. Add to that an exclusive T-shirt, a hand-numbered ownership certificate, all neatly packed into a classy black wooden box, strictly limited to 666 copies. This is a must-have… and it might be the last thing you ever buy!
