Texan three-piece Purple are pleased to announce the release of their debut album ‘(409)’ on November 10th through Play it Again Sam.

Weaned on a diet of punk rock, fun and a general life-to-the-max attitude, the trio are set to colour the musical landscape when they bring their pop music, albeit messy, dirty, raucous, grit-spitting, tequila-glugging pop music, kicking and screaming to a party near you.

The album, so named after their East Texan area code, was recorded in El Paso with production duties handled by Chris ‘Frenchie’ Smith (…Trail Of Dead, Jet, …) and comprises ten tracks of unashamedly catchy songs that look set to become favourites over the coming months.

‘(409)’ will be available on CD, vinyl and digitally via all reputable outlets through Play It Again Sam.

Yesterday marked the 10-year release date anniversary of their last, much acclaimed full-length studio album, “Seven Circles”. Therefor Canadian Rock trio The Tea Party are now pleased to announce a September 22 release date in Europe via InsideOutMusic for their new studio album, “The Ocean At The End”. The album will be released as special edition pocket-pack CD and on gatefold 2LP+CD.

The Tea Party’s original line-up of Jeff Martin (Vocals, Guitar), Stuart Chatwood (Bass, Keyboards) and Jeff Burrows (Drums, Percussion) reunited in 2011 for selected Australian and Canadian live dates and their sense of artistic kinship inevitably led them back to the studio. Produced and engineered by Martin, mixed by Grammy-award-winning David Bottrill (Rush, Muse, Peter Gabriel, Tool) and recorded largely at Toronto’s Revolution Recording, “The Ocean At The End” contains some of the most streamlined music in The Tea Party’s career.

“It’s a rock n’ roll record,” declares Martin, describing the outcome whose genesis began last year in Byron Bay, Australia, and eventually migrated to the trio’s original home base of Windsor, Ontario. “We started the writing process in Byron Bay, and songs like Brazil, Cass Corridor, Submission, and Water’s On Fire came out of that session,” he continues. “But where things got really exciting for us was when we jammed in Windsor: songs like The 11th Hour and The L.o.C came out and it was really rock n’ roll. We were having fun and not over-thinking it anymore. The water had passed under the bridge, and we’re three friends now. 'What do you guys want to do, rock? Okay, let’s go!'"

Formed in 1990, The Tea Party have previously released seven studio albums, selling over two million copies worldwide, filling stadiums on the strength of anthemic hits such as “The River”, “Sister Awake”, “Temptation” and “Heaven Coming Down”.

The Tea Party will next be touring Australia this October (from the 9th to the 23rd), with Canadian dates to be announced shortly. Further album details and pre-order links will be announced soon

Taking a modern slant on the new wave tradition, Two Steps From Heartache combines uptempo bleeps and beats with James Knights' shimmering widescreen vocals, a perfect match to Scarlet's synthesizer stabs and the visual impact of her disco-ball dress. Additional production and mixing from critically acclaimed electronic musician/producer/mixer James Yuill adds a modern percussive dynamic to this nihilistic little pop song.

The video concludes with James and Scarlet being presented with a literal bleeding heart by a nameless macabre clown determined to piss on their parade.

This streamlined melancholy pop song is the lead track in the final installment of their trilogy of EPs (full press release to follow), and precedes the release of their new album (early 2015).

On 20 October 2014, joining existing Fellini films Roma, Il Bidone and City of Women on the label, Eureka will be releasing a new digitally restored version of I CLOWNS on Blu-ray in a Dual Format (Blu-ray and DVD) edition. The film reflects Fellini’s childhood obsession with clowns, exploring deeper human conditions that resonate through various clowns who vary from a local sex-crazed hobo, a midget nun, to a mutilated Mussolini disciple.
