Anna-Varney Cantodea, aka Sopor Aeturnus, is back with the third part of the trilogy A Triptychon Of Ghosts. This new release is entitled Children Of The Corn and comes in a standard limited edition as well as a collector's edition with a t-shirt.
The set is on the pricey side, but you get a lot: a satanic children's storybook (yikes!) in hardcover (140 x 150 mm); art on 150 gram paper; a 36 page booklet with the CD; everything is wrapped in jute-bag (what's a jute bag?) with cord and black logo printed on backside; and sealed with a Sopor Aeturnus antique bronze look coin.
Hand-numbered, signed, limited to 1999 copies. One wonders if there's even music in all this but man it's damn cool no matter what--and the last CD Sopor put out was one of our summer favourites, so this is pretty exciting.
Limited edition in Digipak of 999 copies only.
The bloody eagerly awaited new release from Swedens cult act! After Seven long years of complete silence, time has finally come to welcome back IN SLAUGHTER NATIVES! Indeed, Jouni Havukainen never released his records too frequently.
In over 20 years of existence, ISN didn’t release any singles (except for a split 7" with Voice of Hate) nor miniCDs, but have produced five full-length albums, each of which is an approachless peak in the history of dark music. Insanity & Treatment, is a collection of this important group’s live performances in a luxurious packaging!
Only the best of the best has been carefully selected and mastered personally by the author. You'll find the legendary radio recording of ‘Mort Aux Vaches’, Concerts in Madrid, France, Prague and in Moscow.
This collection also features the participation of such heavyweights of Sweden’s scene as Tomas Pettersson (Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio) and Peter Andersson (Raison d’Etre).
The famous musician - and for sure one of the best designers in the modern Industrial scene - Jérôme Nougaillon (Propergol, Cosmos Entropy, Old Iron Fence…) was encharged with the artistic design of this wonderful release – and his contribution turns this already unique publication into a true piece of art!
Peter Hook releases a limited edition 9 track cd.Featuring "Pictures In My Mind"; an unfinished Joy Division track unearthed from a session tape and completed by The Light.
The song's energetic punk tones place it between Warsaw and Unknown Pleasures.
Mindful of Ian Curtis' maxim that once started a song should always be finished off, Hooky takes the vocal and wraps up the track. Rowetta's unique renditions of Joy Division classics "Insight", "New Dawn Fades" and "Atmosphere" complete the quartet while Instrumental versions of all four songs lay bare the production and serious musicianship at play across the EP.
And yes those who saw Hookey know the spirit of Curtis continues in his bass.
"Panic of looking" is a 6 tracks-album that continues the exploration of how lyric & song-writing are perceived in the post-everything era.
As the Sunday Times Culture suggests, "The poems aren't sung, yet the pieces are undeniably songlike, first because the music refuses to act simply as background, but lurches frequently, sometimes unexpected to the fore, and second because we hear the meaning of the words in the way we normally pick up song lyrics," while WIRED Magazine calls Eno’s soundscapes, "a tapestry of pillowy synths, minor-key melodies, chiming guitars and skittering drums."
Even if Peek-A-Boo hasn't heard his newest offering, we guess we can say : once a genius, always a genius!
Harsh extreme electronic pioneers Sutcliffe Jugend return with an album of all new material. Three years in the making, and with numerous reworkings, "With Extreme Prejudice" finds Sutcliffe Jugend at the top of their game. Forcing the listener to question their own prejudices and taboos, as modern man struggles to confront and control his inner demons.
Musically and lyrically this is SJ's most varied album to date, ranging from harsh electronic onslaughts to a new kind of musical oblivion. Production and sound values are closer to industrial music than ever before, creating a very different feel to their previous filthwork "Pigdaddy".
