Die So Fluid Releases 'Landslides' Music Video & Announces Finnish Tour Dates
Los Angeles / London based gothic rock band Die So Fluid have released the official music video for their track "Landslides (originally premiering with Bloody Disgusting). The track is from the band's album "The Opposites Of Light" which will be released in the U.S. later this year. The band has also announced the dates of their upcoming tour of Finland. The tour kicks off in Tampere on September 3rd and wraps up in Lahti on September 7th.
'Landslides' is a track from the darker, more introspective side of our new album 'The Opposites Of Light'. The song is about intense desire and loyalty. The video is an emotional and psychedelic trip into a shamanic desert scene highlighting the dream-time qualities of the song. The lyrics were partly inspired by my fascination with Carlos Castaneda, a kind of cult leader who wrote books about shamanism. Narrated in first person, they have sold millions but some critics say they're works of fiction. He had three female followers who lived with him, changed their names, and cut off ties to family and the outside world. They mysteriously disappeared after his own death. The remains of one of these women was found in Death Valley near where her abandoned car had been discovered. I directed this video myself and used a Go Pro camera that a very generous Die So Fluid fan gave me. We filmed it at the magical Vasquez Rocks where Star Trek was shot, I'm lucky to live nearby. I just let the ancient land speak to me and the visions flow. - Grog (Die So Fluid)

Killer Klowns from Outer Space - on Blu-ray, DVD & Blu-ray steelbook, 15th September
Arrow Video is excited to announce the release of the 1988 cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space, available on Blu-ray & DVD and as an exclusive Blu-ray Steelbook from 15th September. Playing colourful homage to such ’50s B-movie drive-in classics as The Blob (1958) and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) while providing plenty of original shocks and scares itself, Killer Klowns from Outer Space is energetic, punk and every bit as funny as it is scary.
As movie titles go, few are quite as descriptive as Killer Klowns from Outer Space, a vivid mesh of horror, sci-fi and comedy which does exactly what it says on the tin. When a troupe of aliens who happen to resemble circus clowns park their UFO (which happens to resemble a big top tent) in small-town USA, it spells trouble for the locals. As the Killer Klowns begin kidnapping the town’s residents and turning them into sugary circus snacks, it’s up to young Debbie Stone and Mike Tobacco to save the day. If they don’t get turned into delicious cotton candy cocoons first, that is.
Directed by renowned special effects artist Stephen Chiodo and written and produced in collaboration with his brothers, Killer Klowns from Outer Space has gone on to become a cult classic 80s horror-romp which proudly wears its influences on its massive silk sleeves.
This new release comes loaded with a bumper crop of bonus features including an all-new high definition (1080p) and Standard Definition DVD presentation of the feature, transferred from original film elements by MGM. Alongside this the discs will also feature an audio commentary with the Chiodo Brothers, as well as a 20 minute making of feature looking at the film’s production, interviews with the makers of the film and behind-the-scenes footage.
Other extras include a tour of Chiodo Bros Productions, brand new interviews with stars Grant Cramer and Suzanne Snyder, as well as an interviews with composer John Massari, creature fabricator Dwight Roberts and visual effects supervisor Gene Warren Jr.
Synopsis
Clowns can be terrifying at the best of times – especially when they’re Killer Klowns from Outer Space! When Mike and his girlfriend Debbie turn up at the local police station warning that a gang of homicidal alien clowns have arrived in the town of Crescent Grove, the cops are naturally sceptical. Talk of popcorn-firing guns and a spaceship shaped like a circus tent out in the woods hardly helps to convince them.
Before long, however, reports start coming in from anxious locals reporting similar run-ins with the colourfully-dressed, large shoe-wearing assailants. There can no longer be any doubt – the Killer Klowns from Outer Space are here and they’re out to turn the population into candy floss!
The sole directorial effort from the Chiodo brothers – the special effects team behind such hits as Critters and Team America: World Police – Killer Klowns from Outer Space is the wacky 1988 horror comedy classic against which all other knowing B-movie efforts should be measured. So, in the words of the film’s opening theme song, hop aboard the “nightmare merry-go-round” and brace yourself for a cinematic experience unparalleled in this galaxy!

It's been talked about for so long that, honestly, we're not believing anything until we see it at our local cinema.
However, it looks like the long-fabled Escape From New York remake is still in the works and Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam is in the mix.
The 1981 classic took place in the far-off, dystopian future of 1997. Yeah. New York has been turned into an island prison where the worst of the worst are sent.
When the US President's plane is shot down when flying over New York, former military operative-turned-criminal Snake Plissken is sent in to rescue him.
Originally played by Kurt Russell, this new iteration will also feature an expanded cast of characters and, we're guessing, lots of explosions. Which is great, frankly.
Hunnam isn't the only name attached to the role of Plissken, however. Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens - who turns up in the hugely entertaining Drive-meets-Terminator thriller The Guest - is also in the mix, but the smart money's on Hunnam.
No release date has been confirmed for the Escape From New York remake.

Fields Of The Nephilim To Play Two Exclusive Shows At Roadburn Festival 2015
We are honored to announce that British gothic rock innovators Fields Of The Nephilim will be gracing the stage twice at the 20th edition of the Roadburn Festival at the 013 venue in Tilburg, The Netherlands. In addition to serving as the Saturday headliner on April 11, 2015, the band will perform a different set as special guests at ‘Houses Of The Holistic’ on Friday, the special Roadburn event curated by Ivar Bjørnson (Enslaved) and Wardruna's Einar "Kvitrafn" Selvik, which will be held on Friday, April 10.
Currently 30 years into a groundbreaking career, Fields of the Nephilim have had a major impact on an entire generation of musicians and music fans. Led by singer Carl McCoy, the Stevenage, England band fused the darker elements of post-punk with more overtly American sounds such as blues and outlaw country, creating a sound that was gritty, grandiose, and menacing, unlike anything that was made before or since. Such classic albums as Dawnrazor, The Nephilim, and Elizium helped shape the goth subculture, but at the same time played a profound role in influencing a wide array of today’s music, ranging from indie, to occult rock, to metal. Such contemporary bands as Watain, Katatonia, Horseback, and Enslaved cite the Nephilim as a major influence.
"Fields of the Nephilim has accepted our invitation for our "Houses of the Holistic" at Roadburn 2015. Bleep! Anything I say after that sentence is going to seem insignificant in comparison, so no pressure for once,” says Bjørnson, "I've been a avid fan of Carl McCoy and Fields of the Nephilim since I was introduced to them during the early years of Enslaved; and they have remained a constant source of inspiration ever since (check out the song ‘Nordlys’ from our Scion-EP ‘The Sleeping Gods’, for instance). Having these absolute masters of sublime Music from the Shadows as very special guests at our curated event is as big as it gets; April 2015 just can't come fast enough! Aaaaaarrrrggghhh!"
Comments Selvik: "The basic idea of our ‘Houses of the Holistic’ is of course about inviting bands we find interesting and would love to see perform but it is also about creating an event that at the same time says something about what shaped and inspired us on our own creative path - AND - since the authors of the poetic Edda are long since gone I personally have difficulty thinking of a more fitting band than Fields of the Nephilim to give voice to that idea."
We at Roadburn have been huge supporters of Fields Of The Nephilim since the Dawnrazor album in 1987, and with their influence looming large over so many acts that have played at our festival over the years, hosting these two special performances at Roadburn 2015 couldn’t be more appropriate.
Roadburn Festival 2015 (including The Heads as Artist In Residence, Wardruna and Enslaved among others) will run for four days from Thursday, April 9 to Sunday, April 12 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, The Netherlands.
