THE BELLE BRIGADE announce debut album 'Just Because', released 15th September via ATO Records
Raised in a musical family (their grandfather is renowned film composer John Williams and their father is songwriter/composer Jay Gruska), siblings Barbara and Ethan have a strong familial chemistry, which, along with their obvious songwriting gifts, has resulted a thrilling debut. The Belle Brigade’s music is artfully arranged, with enticing melodies and pop harmonies, fueled by the interplay of driving rhythms between Barbara's drums and Ethan's guitars. Both are gifted songwriters – finding inspiration in the works of Peter Gabriel, John Lennon, The Beach Boys, Sly Stone, Harry Nilsson and countless others.
When they find time away from the band, both are active players and writers for other projects - Ethan has recorded as a vocalist and multi instrumentalist for many Los Angeles based artists and Barbara is a sought-after drummer who has played with Fiona Apple, Jenny Lewis, Benji Hughes and many others.
The Belle Brigade has appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “Conan” and their compelling live performances have led to tours with such artists as Dawes, Blitzen Trapper and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. They contributed songs to the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack and their cover of Bob Dylan's "No Time To Think," which appeared on the Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International, was voted in the top 10 songs of 2012 by Time.

Well, well, well; what have we here?
A new track from Flies On You, to whet your appetite for their forthcoming LP?
There was a time when "Can You Smell That Burning Noise?" would have been a floor-filler in the nation's alternative dance halls. When there was neither shame nor paradox in welding strident post-punk guitars to an insistent solid rhythm and allowing some dour northerner to ruminate obtusely on personal troubles and public issues, whilst the air hung rife with the heady whiff of insurrection. And it was fun, believe it or not.
But it's 2014. A lot has changed.
Ah, well. Shit happens.
The resistance has to start somewhere.
Flies On You's second album "Etcetera" is released on Friday 19th September 2014.
Casting a dark synth-wave shadow further over the District of Columbia’s skyline, Technophobia has increased its reach with a new-birthed cassette of remixes. Each for their epic track, Bleeding Hands, Technophobia plays host to four producers from the nation’s capitol.
The original Bleeding Hands gives way to trip through a midnight discotheque from dance duo Pleasure Curses. Soon after, the void opens up for a space-birthed dirge courtesy of Lenorable, before the hammer comes down via Psykofly’s brutish drum and bass treatment. The last hope of light is finally vanquished due to Semita Serpen’s riveting “Industrial Cinema” remix.
More ominous, still, Technophobia has chosen a black celebration for their release of the Bleeding Hands Remixes cassette. On July 19th DC will feel the artic cold waves of Philadelphia’s infamous Void Vision (in their first DC appearance) as well as the grim electro-doom of Baltimore’s Curse, along with Technophobia. Fittingly, this ceremony will be hosted at DC’s Black Cat. This is a fate you cannot escape.
