The last incomplete film that Orson Welles worked on before his death may finally get a release around the 100th anniversary of the legendary filmmaker's birth next May.
The director devoted the last fifteen years of his life obsessively working on 'The Other Side of the Wind' which remains unfinished. It is considered one of the most famous unreleased movies by cinema lovers.
The rights to the 1970 movie were caught in a legal battle between Welles's daughter Beatrice, his longtime companion and collaborator, Oja Kodar, and an Iranian-French production company, L'Astrophore.
A Los Angeles production company, Royal Road Entertainment, has said that it has reached an agreement with the parties to buy the rights. The producers aim to have it ready for a screening in time for May 6, the 100th anniversary of Welles's birth, reported the New York Times.
Much like his own life, the movie tells the story of an aging maverick director attempting a comeback. The director's role was played by John Huston who battles Hollywood establishment to finish his masterpiece. The 'Citizen Kane' helmer left behind a roughly 45-minute edited work print of the movie before his death in 1985.
After more than 10 years, the Eurorock festival will take place again in Neerpelt (14-16 May 2015).
First bands confirmed are : Front 242, ASP, Peter Hook & The Light, Vive La Fête, The Orb, Apoptygma Berzerk, Oomph!, The Bellwether Syndicate, Tanzwut, Whispers in the Shadows, Suicide Commando, Diary of Dreams & Legend.
More information will be available at their website after the first of November.

The Knife’s Shaken-Up Versions Mini Album gets a physical release date for 8 December
On 8 December, Rabid/Brille are releasing physical formats on Vinyl & CD of Shaken-Up Versions, a mini album of classic Knife tracks reworked especially for the band’s recent North American leg of their Shaking The Habitual Tour. The Shaking The Habitual show was a rejuvenating experience for the mind and soul, inspiring TIME Magazine to demand it as “mandatory viewing for music fans.” Reverb Magazine proclaimed, “A performance of this scale is rare. And, it wakes us to the fact that not only is art far from irrelevant, but in the form of The Knife, we can be reminded again of its force.” This force will end with these upcoming autumn live dates as The Knife have announced this is their last tour with the Shaking the Habitual show. Here are their words on the subject.
“In the autumn we will round up the Shaking The Habitual Show Tour with a number of European dates. After the touring last year we reworked the show during the winter. The performers, previously known as dancers, learnt how to sing and play instruments, the stage got three levels, Shannon Funchess joined us and the show became more fun and shiny. We performed it in the US in the spring and now we would love you to join us in our dance for some last shaking moves.
