Arrow Films, the distributors of The Hunt, A Hijacking and Love Is All You Need, are pleased to announce the release of the German celebrated classic war movie, Stalingrad, available on demand & digital and on Blu-ray & DVD from 3rd November 2014. This release will mark the first time that Stalingrad has been made available on Blu-ray in the UK.
In the spring of 1942 German troops advance deep into the Soviet Union, en route to Stalingrad. Hitler, seriously misjudging the tenacity of the Red Army, is convinced that the city can be conquered before winter. Inadequately clothed and without sufficient food, the Nazi troops literally freeze and starve to death, largely abandoned by their leaders. For the soldiers Fritz, Hans, Rollo and GeGe the struggle for life has just begun. Gunfire and bombs are only one part of this hell; most of the soldiers will lose the battle against hunger and cold.
The film presents this turning point in World War II as a vast tableau of horror in which the average German soldier was as much a victim of Nazi evil as were the Soviet people.
"Stalingrad" has some of the most virtuosic battle scenes to be found in a modern war film

Jazz Life, the label founded by Brighton duo Blood Red Shoes, will release its first single on 1st December. Available on 7” only, Tigercub’s single ‘Centrefold’ will be the first release through Jazz Life outside of Blood Red Shoes’ album earlier this year. Also hailing from Brighton, Tigercub recently toured with Royal Blood and were billed as Radio 1’s ‘Next Hype’ act by Zane Lowe
“We've always talked about the idea of having our own label, and after 10 years we now have the time and the resources to do it properly,” reflects Blood Red Shoes’ Steven. “For us it's not just about releasing our own records but also supporting new and emerging artists that we like, regardless of genre, hopefully bringing them to the public's attention and fostering a much-needed sense of community amongst artists in what can be a very competitive universe. We'll be releasing 7" singles to start with but we're not only focused on records, which is why we've called it Jazz Life and not Jazz Life "records. The first band we've signed is Tigercub from Brighton, but after that we're just gonna make it up as we go along and improvise. Jazz Life forever.”
Produced and recorded by the band in Berlin, and mixed by American indie god John Agnello, Blood Red Shoes’ latest eponymously-titled album came out in March and is the follow up to 2012’s album ‘In Time To Voices’.
About two years ago 'binary park' did debut with their well received album 'worlds collide'. followed by the 'e.p.' 'the deviated' the band managed to establish themselves as a fine electronic artist within the independent scene. concerts such as 'wave gotik treffen', 'nordstern festival', 'summer darkness', 'planet myer day', 'nocturnal cultre night or 'electronic dance art festival' as well as various remixes for artists like haujobb, torul, suicide commando or pankow did follow and kept the band busy.
In early 2014 the recording for the new long player 'singulary' did start. the final result is a 14 track electronic masterpiece.t he 'charming' voice of singer 'huw jones' finds it’s way directly into your ears! quite spherical songs like 'empty frame' or 'mute' shuffle with club tracks such as 'mental interference' or 'she’s insane' followed by 'mid-tempo' songs in the vein of 'unforgiven' and 'stormchaser'. a thrilling collaboration with daniel myer (of haujobb fame) results with the song 'humans' which truly is another highlight of the album! a great new electronic album worth waiting for!
”MASCHINENFEST TRACKS 1999 – 2014” is a lavish retrospective, based on the astonishing fact that WINTERKÄLTE performed at the MASCHINENFEST for the 10th time in 2014. This limited to 500 copies hand numbered edition collects all contributions to the legendary Maschinenfest com- pilation CDs in remastered sound quality, cut over two 12” records and thus maintaining the tradition of making available all Winterkälte tracks on vinyl.
According to the concept this is not a “Best Of”, but a collection of concisely physical tracks with the club firmly in focus. Eight studio tracks, five of which have never been available in this or any other version on a Winterkälte release, enframed by two live cuts, the total ten tracks covering no less than 15 years of Winterkälte’s trademark, genre-defining drum’n’noise sound. The two heavy-weight LPs come in a special high quality foldout cover including the CD version of the album (HANDS D200) as well as 4 art prints and a sticker. Founded in 1991, their highly dynamic live shows with electronics by Udo Wiessmann and electronic drumming by Eric de Vries have become the other cornerstone, next to the studio work. The fasci- nation of Winterkälte live performances has proven during many shows in Europe, North America and Asia. Among those, Maschinenfest shows have always been a special highlight.
This compilation reveals an astonishing continuity, from the first track “Warm up”, very early Winterkälte which was recorded live from mixing desk in 1997 on the “pre-Maschinenfest” event “Musik in Elektrisch” to the live cut “Deep Sea Defenders” from 2012, a quality microphone recor- ding complete with the sounds of the stirred crowd. The other contributions are quite manifold: Half of the tracks here can’t be found on any other release in any version. Furthermore, you will find a very early, primal version of “Greenwar Theme One”;, the alternative “Cetraro” version of “Toxic Ships” and the original rough mix of the band’s considerable dance floor hit “Ban Depleted Uranium Weapons”. Enjoy the propelling time travel through Winterkälte’s drum’n’noise from past to present!
The song is expected to feature on Manson's next studio album, which has a tentative 2015 release date. The album will be his follow up to 2012 album 'Born Villain'. Speaking earlier this year, Manson stated that the album was shaping up to be a "very cinematic" record.
Elaborating on the direction of the release, which will be the singer's tenth album and his first since 2012's 'Born Villain', Manson also said that the record "isn't about being pissed about the world". "The redneck in me comes out in my voice, and its got some old blues mixed with the very hard elements," he said. "I want to retain what I think is good about the past, what music I did and who I am. It's not about being pissed about the world – it's about realising someone has to fuck things up."
In recent month Manson has focused on TV work, guest starring in Sons Of Anrchy as a white supremacist prisoner. This follows appearances in Californication, Eastbound & Down, Wrong Cops and Once Upon A Time.
Earlier this year Manson also contributed a new song, entitled 'Cupid Carries A Gun', to the soundtrack of drama series Salem.
