The Mission's Wayne Hussey announces 'Salad Daze' UK tour with dark ethereal wonder Evi Vine
Wayne Hussey’s book 'Salad Daze' was published on May 23 by Omnibus Press, chronicling Wayne’s life from childhood to his days with The Mission. A confessional, engaging and explicit account of life in the eye of rock’s storm conveyed with warmth, humour and laugh-out-loud moments, each chapter is accompanied by a specially curated playlist (via YouTube and Spotify) featuring artists as diverse as Elvis, Radiohead, Suicide, Frank Sinatra, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, David Bowie, Television, T-Rex, Cigarettes After Sex, Iggy Pop, and Telly Savalas.
Most recently, both Wayne Hussey and Evi Vine have been collaborating with LA-based supergroup Beauty in Chaos, spearheaded by Michael Ciravolo and also involving members of The Cure, Ministry, Cheap Trick, King’s X, The Offspring, Van Halen, Marilyn Manson and Bauhaus, as well as Ice T, Tim Palmer and Rolan Bolan, among others.
The 'Salad Daze' Tour with Evi Vine kicks off in Nuneaton on August 26 and runs until November 8 at Stockholm's Nalen Klubb. His final UK date is November 10, when Wayne appears at the Louder Than Words book festival in Manchester. Hussey will also be embarking on a full European solo tour this year in promotion of this book.

"FLASHBACK" was remixed by Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly, Delerium) and the music video was filmed by Lumbra Records. Original mix appears on I YA TOYAH's full-length album CODE BLUE.

Rhys Fulber called this version of Flashback "a sadness on the dancefloor." "I envisioned Berlin at 4 am," he said. With the visual magic created by Lumbra Records, the viewer is teleported to Chicago reality-city lights, rush of life, and...mental alienation. The video was filmed in the middle of a cold April night. Various locations include Michigan Avenue, Bucktown, Lincoln Park and more.

Toronto Darkwave Act DOUBLE EYELID Announces The Release Of 'A Means To An End'
June 7, 2019 - At the advent of their summer west-coast tour, Toronto-based darkwave band DOUBLE EYELID are very pleased to announce the release of their new single. Titled "A Means To An End" the track is the first new release from the project since the 2016 remix album BROKEN MIRROR. The song is also the first track to feature current guitarist Sky Shaver, who has been performing live with the band on and off for the last several years.

The single release also features a killer remix by the legendary Claus Larsen of LEAETHER STRIP & KLUTAE. Asked about the track and his process Claus remarks: “I was very happy to get to remix this great band. It's very inspiring to get to fiddle with well composed songs and put a different perspective on it. A great song like this can take my "abuse”."

BIOGRAPHY:
Glam, goth, gutter: DOUBLE EYELID was formed in Toronto in 2009 as a vehicle for the songs and vision of lead singer and central band member Ian Revell.
Initially an arty post-punk project formed with a couple of close friends (Karl Mohr – also known for his Dead Red Velvet project – and Benjamin Mueller-Heaslip) a couple of fateful decisions made in 2011 shifted the project firmly in the ‘goth’ direction. The first was to abandon the use of a drummer in favour of a drum machine, both live and in the studio. The second was to collaborate with horror filmmaker Steven Cerritos on the band’s first single and video “Dead is Better.” Released in July 2012 this video marked Double Eyelid’s true international debut and was featured by MuchMusic, Canada’s equivalent to MTV, and covered on numerous blogs worldwide.
After multiple delays the release of the band’s first full-length album “Seven Years” in July 2014 was met with instant acclaim around the world. Noted goth journalist Mick Mercer hailed the album as a “dark classic” that was “easily one of the year’s best”, while Terra Relicta Webzine ranked it #11 in their list of the top 20 albums of 2014. Shortly thereafter DOUBLE EYELID signed with DeadFall Management for UK and European booking and promotion.
In February 2015 DOUBLE EYELID were included on Oskar Terramortis’s popular 33 Goth Bands You Should Know compilation. May 2015 saw the release of the band’s second video, for the song “Black Box.” Directed by Japanese filmmaker Keishi Kondo it has a surrealistic film noir feel reminiscent of David Lynch’s Eraserhead. A month later DOUBLE EYELID supplied a live soundtrack for the classic film THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI in a special one-off performance featuring Ian Revell and Karl Mohr.
Released in February 2016 DOUBLE EYELID’s second release “Broken Mirror” is a remix album that was hailed in Louder Than War (UK) as a “minor masterpiece” in its own right and features bold new reinterpretations of DOUBLE EYELID tracks by goth and industrial artists from around the world, including Leaether Strip, Psyche, nTTx, Tyler Milchmann and others.
Now joined by guitarist Sky Shaver DOUBLE EYELID is currently gigging regularly and working on the long-awaited follow-up to Seven Years, which is tentatively titled “Skeleton Key.”

After the success of his 2017 album "Foren6", Martin Sane's Electronic/Industrial project Fïx8:Sëd8 is about to outgrow its cocoon. It has the potential to become that fully fledged industrial music project that might spearhead a resurrection of the traditional electronic industrial sound as formerly endorsed by cult-acts like Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly or Mentallo & The Fixer in the 90ties. While we are writing this info Sane is touring together with labelmates 2nd Face in South America (!), preparing his European touring activities to go along with what might become one of the strongest "Old school" electronic-industrial releases in 2019: WARNING SIGNS.
The writing is on the wall in more than one way: Martin Sane's look at early indications of a dystopic downturn of our peaceful society echoes in our news almost daily. The notion of insecurity and angst starts to foster and grow in various places on the earth, from North America to Europe to Southeast-Asia. His new album is a soundtrack to a modern dystopic downfall that we would rather ignore than face.
Musically WARNING SIGNS is so old school that it could almost be called a "Retro Industrial" album; it includes all ingredients that made industrial breathtaking in the 80ies. Vocal samples, complex drum programming and big strings mixed with structures that remind of old Skinny Puppy cult songs like "Inquisition" or "Addiction". Like their originals these songs need repeated listening to sink in and unfold their potential. But what amazes most is the contradiction between the theme of the album and its sound. How can something sounding so "retro" tackle problems that are so recent?
Can we afford to ignore these warning signs?
