Flesh & Fell announce their new album “ICARUS” and brand new video “SALOME”
After 23 years of silence FLESH&FELL made its comeback in 2011 with a new line-up featuring original member Pierre Goudesone and brand new vocalist Laurence Castelain. Even after all these years, interest in the band never really died out. Singles ‘Hunger’, ‘The Wind’ and ‘Emma’ became cult favorites in Belgium. The age of Youtube gave the band’s continual popularity an even further boost, steadily increasing a wider fan base around the band’s classic songs.
Over the last years they were invited to play major shows such as the Rewind Festival in Gent’s Vooruit, BIMFest at Antwerp’s Trix, Brussels’ Summer Festival, and the Out Of Line Weekender in Berlin just to name a few. In 2013 they released the album Eponyme on the German Out of Line records accompanied by remarkable video singles ‘The Devil In Me’ and ‘Tipsy’; and including the original 80s singles.
In celebration of of their 30th year anniversary and to announce the release of their new album ‘ICARUS’ (15/09/17), check out last year’s video single ‘Poker Joker’. This new album is only available on vinyl on the new Belgian independent label Lynch Law Records. 500 coloured limited edition copies will be released along with the new video “Salome”.

LA SCALTRA releases first video single from the forthcoming album FREAKSHOW
They have an affinity for horror movies and venerate Vampira, Morticia Addams and Lily Munster. They are dreamy, wicked, full of fantasy, mysterious and aloof. They are Aeleth Kaven (vocals, song-writing & composer) and Dae Widow (vocals), two banshees intent on sharing sorrow, pain and loneliness with their fabulously unique voices. Dae loves hope and East-Asian mysticism, Aeleth prefers the occult worships destructive Black Metal. The antithesis is their manifesto, inspiring their dissimilarity and shaping their youth. They recount the search for a particular place where injured souls find succour, tranquillity and where they can settle down. A place protected by darkness in which one can be anything one wishes to be and do as one pleases, indulging in one’s hidden fantasies. And they discovered that darkness is not necessarily to be feared but can be in fact most extraordinarily beautiful indeed.

Ze hebben een iets met horrorfilms en aanbidden Vampira, Morticia Addams en Lily Munster. Ze zijn dromerig, onvoorspelbaar, vol fantasie, mysterieus en gereserveerd. Ze zijn Aeleth Kaven (componist/zang)) en Dae Widow (zang), twee banshees die het plan hebben opgevat om hun verdriet, pijn en eenzaamheid te delen door middel van hun muziek en hun fantastische en unieke stemmen. Dae houdt van hoop en Oost-Aziatische mystiek, Aeleth verkiest meer het meer occulte en destructieve Black Metal te aanbidden. Deze tegenstelling is hun manifesto en hun inspiratie bron, hun verscheidenheid en de verschillende vorming die zij in hun jeugd meekregen. Zij vertellen over de zoektocht naar een plaats waar gewonde zielen zich kunnen nestelen en hulp en rust kunnen vinden. Een plek die door duisternis wordt beschermd, en waar men alles kan zijn wat men wil zijn, waar men doet wat men wil en verborgen fantasieën kan uitleven. Ze ontdekten dat duisternis niet noodzakelijkerwijs schrik hoeft aan te jagen, maar dat het ook buitengewoon mooi kan zijn.

In collaboration with Side-Line-Magazine, the Norwegian musician Håvard Ellefsen aka Mortiis releases a free 3-track charity single “Too Little Too Late” via Bandcamp.
The single features 3 tracks including a remix by En Esch (KMFDM, Pigface, and Slick Idiot) which is exclusive to this single.
The other 2 tracks are the album version of “Too Little Too Late” which is taken from the album “The Great Deceiver” (Omnipresence Productions) and “The Ugly Truth (Je$us Loves Amerika Remix)” which is taken from the album “The Great Corrupter” (Omnipresence Productions). Also included in the full download of the single is the back of the cover artwork featuring full credits.
This free single is part of a series of singles which will be released over time via Side-Line by bands who support the charity projects Side-Line is backing.

Mauri is a DJ, producer, creator of performance art and audiovisual projects, promoter, journalist and remixer related to electronic music, some more, some less risky, in their different mutations, since 1986.
In 2017 he publishes his seventh album, Cyborgs (its debut on Nøvak), an ambitious sonorous work, in background and form, on what it means to be a cybernetic organism. The 'translation' of the term cyborg: "a creature composed of organic elements and cybernetic devices, generally with the intention of improving the capabilities of the organic part through the use of the technology".
“Cyborgs is an album in honour of all those people who have opened a path to the future, those people who have implanted something in their body that makes them live better, something that is already normal today and that opens a door to the future of humanity, where it will be discussed at a political level among transhumanists and the bioconservatives, that is, those who fight for humans to have a longer and better life, and those who opposeit.
Each track on the album has the title of a cyborg and the music tries to reflect what they have implanted in their body.
I wanted to make a different album than I had done so far. This album, at a musical level, is more in the wave of Sweep Generators than I did in 2015 in Kvitnu, a more experimental and noisy wave.
I try to use programs differently than most people use them. I do not use midi nor drum machines, sequencers and audio editors only. First of all, I create my own library of sounds with sounds made and recorded by me and then I use them with programs. The way to create each theme is different. For example, Eyeborg did it in 2014, and then I worked sequencing my own library of sounds, whereas Harbisson is a very short part of Eyeborg slowed to 65%, adding a sound that emulates a bass and some other sound. Cheney originally was an ode to Mika Vainio but in the end I retook it by the theme cyborg, adding sounds of bells and percussive sounds (the Vainio essence is evident). Cyborg Coding is a single sound passed through raspberry pi, programmatically encoded and sequenced. In Clapp mainly the sounds are made through a modular... and so I could explain each of the topics and how I did them”.
