The Merciful Nuns, brainchild of the enigmatic Artaud Seth, return with their ninth instalment of an epic journey through the pansophic traditions of sacred wisdom and knowledge: “A-U-M” continues to deliver a profound lyrical context against a backdrop of mesmerising soundscapes and carefully orchestrated containment of driven energy. This time the journey takes us into the realms of Eastern philosophy, a tour-de-force in the manner established fans of the band have grown accustomed to and will no doubt find their anticipation suitably serviced with “A-U-M”.
The album will appeal to the genuine seeker as well as casual listeners. The quality of the songs and their production is a given when we talk about the MERCIFUL NUNS, Artaud’s voice in all its facets revealing the scope of its power: soothing, teasing, imploring and chastising as the situations demands. Jawa’s bass work once again expertly arranged to deliver a powerful yet measured approach in setting the tempo, providing a solid and sound foundation for Jòn’s effective and intricate contribution on guitar – ever more assuming a unique and identifiable signature sound. Vocals, bass and guitars are arranged in perfect harmony and in support of each other; one never gets the impression of listening to three individuals working together but rather a coordinated trinity at work.
A remarkably well conceived and executed production, probably MERCIFUL NUNS’s best album yet on multiple levels !

An integral part of the UK’s post punk explosion, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry emerged from Leeds with their unique, demanding sound during the early 1980s. Guided by the singular vision of iconic bandleader and figurehead Chris Reed and sideman David Wolfenden, the band took onboard elements of the burgeoning gothic outlook of the post punk era, fused it with relentlessly rigid drum machine rhythms and an impenetrable wall of distorted guitars and won a strong following, both in the UK and abroad.
Their first two albums – Talk About The Weather and Paint Your Wagon – emerged on Red Rhino Records before a jump to Situation Two inspired a development in the band’s sound and a broadening of their outlook for the albums Nothing Wrong and Blow. All four vital albums are included here, along with singles, b-sides and remixes, and chart a fascinating history through the 1980s as seen through the eyes of Chris Reed and co.
A must for the serious post punk and goth rock enthusiast, and a key part of the incredible musical explosion that took place in the UK during the 1980s.
Chris Reed and Red Lorry Yellow Lorry are still active today, performing gigs in the UK and mainland Europe.

Lust is the debut album by Belgian electronic band Lords of Acid. Originally released in 1991 Lust spawned a series of club hits. As the album's title implies, the tracks touch upon various sexually-related topics, completed by hardcore techno/new beat/rave electronica sound.
Metropolis Records releases a Special Remastered Band Edition featuring bonus tracks selected from B-sides from the album's singles. There will be two versions : a limited double LP version and a CD version.
