Surlendemains Acides is the second full length from Xavier Paradis’ project Automelodi, and his first on new label Electric Voice Records.
As with Automelodi’s past efforts, this sophomore LP does offer a nod to obscure ‘80/’90s European electronic music—artists such as Trisomie 21 and Grauzone among others—but the main focus of the arrangements, melodies and production on Surlendemains Acides is to frame and carry the album's very dense and personal lyrical universe: a bittersweet, angular path, haunted by shades of anxiety and disenchantment.
These themes translate especially well through Paradis’ cold, yet shimmering French vocals, to create a listening experience with both unusual depth and levity. As Paradis clearly moves towards straightforward songcraft on this latest effort, the Automelodi project is elevated beyond a brilliant work of post modern electronic music to become a true stand-out within the broader context of popular music.
Former Slowdive and Mojave 3 bandmates Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell are to be reunited onstage for the first time in almost 10 years later this month.
Goswell will join Halstead for his two intimate shows at Trefusis Hall in London's Cecil Sharp House on October 23 and 24. Halstead – who released his third solo album 'Palindrome Hunches' late last year – has promised that the shows will feature material from throughout his esteemed back catalogue. Both will be recorded for a future live album.
After a whole year of silence, Brouillard Définitif is coming back to engulf us with an icecold avalanche of French cold wave. No less then four vinyl records are coming in our direction:

Congrès De Vienne/Saison Froide - Split LP
Elyzium For The Sleepless Souls - "Everything Fades", reissue of their tape from 1995!

The Belarusian duo who have brought their digital hardcore sound to electronic and industrial festivals worldwide and look back at a plethora of releases since the turn of the century will release their new 16 track album “X” on HANDS in October.
ORGANIC, the Belgian project led by Raphaël Haubourdin and Joris Oster, have released their remix of "Rip Me", a song from "Hardware", the last album of Swedish cult band Agent Side Grinder. But when you listen to it, it's much more than a remix: ORGANIC have only kept the vocals by Kristoffer Grip and have completely re-arranged the song. Instead of the cold, repetitive structure of the original song, they have created a new atmosphere with real drum sounds, their typical staccato bass and beautiful synth melodies. They also added a harmonic development with additional chords. The end of the song is a nice progression, very much in the krautrock style, leading to the final climax. Amazing!
You can listen to the track on Soundcloud or YouTube. You can download it from Soundcloud in high quality mp3. The album "Hardware" by Agent Side Grinder can be bought here.
Enjoy and share!
