The information had leaked via the Facebook page of Animal Bodies but now, it's official: a Snowy Red tribute album is in the process of being produced.
Here are some names involved: VIOLET TREMORS, MUSHY, BESTIAL MOUTHS, ANIMAL BODIES, LED ER EST, MIRROR MIRROR, MEDDICINE, BRIGHT FUTURE, REVELATOR (formerly WHITE HORSE), EBOLA COLLECTIVE, STRANGE POWERS and a few more.
Snowy Red was a one-man minimal wave/synth band out of Belgium consisting of former Chainsaw (~1976) and Fame (~1978) member, Micky Mike (real name: Marcel Thiel). He died aged 52 in 2009.
Going strong for about 35 years now, Tuxedomoon have a whole history of music under their belt. They hail from San Francisco and after moving to Rotterdam in 1980, they worked in a wide range of media while living in Brussels in the 80's. After a hiatus in the 90's, they released a new album in 2004 "Cabin in the Sky". They didn't play live that many times in the Netherlands, so this is your chance! Tickets are 20 euro in presale and doors open at 20:00, the band starts a half hour later...
Dutch Goth pioneers Clan of Xymox have just released "Kindred Spirits", an album with covers of classics like Heroes (originally by David Bowie), A Forest (The Cure), Decades (Joy Division) and A Question of Time (Depeche Mode).
Ronny Moorings said "Kindred Spirits is my personal homage to the bands that have influenced at some point my motivation for music in general. The album is a gift to our fans."

For its opening event on Friday 19th July 2013, the AMPHI Festival will "Call The Ships To Port"! A concert and party will take place on the 90 m long super-catamaran MS MS RHEINENERGIE on the Rhine in Köln. On the program, concerts by Welle:Erdbal and Covenant, followed by an after-party!
