Today is the 5th Anniversary of Sophie Lancaster's death. Sophie and her boyfriend were attacked by a number of males in their mid-teens while walking through Stubbylee Park in Bacup, Rossendale in Lancashire, England. As a result of her severe head injuries Sophie went into a coma, never regained consciousness, and died thirteen days later. The police said the attack may have been provoked by the couple's wearing gothic fashion and being members of the goth subculture.
Please share this in memory of her and let's stamp out prejudice hatred and intolerance everywhere! You can also support the Sophie Lancaster Foundation (website / Facebook).
Below, the song "Illusion", which Ronan Harris of VNV Nation dedicated to Sophie Lancaster.

"Rapido De Noir was formed in late 2009, south of France. The Roots of the band began as a collaboration when they first appeared in January 2009 under the name "Underbahns featuring Pat Bakelite", with the track "In my little home of pain", on the vinyl compilation by the French cold wave label "La France Lente".
Sounding like a melting pot including electronica, post-punk, 80's new wave, 60's psychedelic bands, & self-ironic oriented lyrics, Rapido De Noir aims at crossing the roads with current sound designing and old analog warm... A kind of positive melancholy..."
CRUISE [CTRL], the electronica / minimal techno duo based in Belgium, have been quite busy lately. After two albums ("I Heard It!" in 2008 and "How’s Annie?" in 2010), they are finalizing their third album, "…Are Not What They Seem", which is due to be published in September 2012 on the Americal label Signifier. The album will include 8 new tracks, among which a collaboration with Belgian EBM legend Dirk Ivens (Dive, Sonar, Klinik, Absolute Body Control…) and a track featuring Sigma, the former (female) singer of Komplex.
The band describes the new album as "more electronica and drone-ambient" than the 2 previous albums. In exclusivity for Peek-a-boo, you can listen to one of the tracks: "In the heart of a circle of 12 sycamores" here: it sounds awesome!
We are looking forward to the new album!
