Finally on vinyl! BLACK HEARTS IN BLACK SUITS: A collaboration born of a long separation. Eleven years after the highly acclaimed ARMAGEDDON GIGOLO, Simone Salavatori and Stefano Puri once again find their paths crossing.
BLACK HEARTS IN BLACK SUITS is the result of three years of work, composed by Stefano Puri specifically for SPIRITUAL FRONT, with Simone Salvatori lending his voice and interpretation (as intense and charismatic as ever) to the composer’s music. The poems of Reiner Werner Fassbinder are given new light as they materialise into musical form as Stefano Puri sits at the piano and joins Simone Salvatori on a voyage of no return.
The SYMPOSIUM ENSEMBLE and the BLACK HEARTS CHOIR round out the endeavor. The composer’s writing – in one moment minimal and introspective, in the next dark and theatrical – follows ancestral pathways along which the singers voice moves between intimacy and majesty, between heavy chords and light harmonies, between airy string passages and obscure choral harmonies.
A concept album more akin to an opera than to the traditional LP, BLACK HEARTS IN BLACK SUITS is a fascinating symphonic journey that takes us through the darkest nihilistic sides of both the composer and the icon of “Suicide Pop”. From Franz Schubert to Nick Cave, Michael Nyman to David Tibet, from Arvo Pärt to Marc Almond… with no way back.

MORTIIS has reissued 'Ånden som Gjorde Opprør', 'Keiser av en Dimensjon Ukjent' and “Født til å Herske” (LP/CD/digital)
On 3rd November 2017 the albums "Ånden som Gjorde Opprør" and "Keiser av en Dimensjon Ukjent" (1995) were reissued as LP and CD in collaboration with the German label Funeral Industries.
“Født til å Herske” is a US only release in co-operation with Foreign Sounds. The LP comes on 3 different vinyl colours: 200x Black, 200x Brown/Green Swirl and 100x “Born To Rule/Forest Green” vinyl.
All reissues have been remastered by Jules Seifert, in close collaboration with MORTIIS and exclusive new artwork was created by renowned French artist David Thierree, based on ideas by MORTIIS.
Ånden som Gjorde Opprør and Keiser av en Dimensjon Ukjent come on 3 different vinyl colours + 12" sized inserts, in limited editions:
Ånden som Gjorde Opprør: 200x Silver, 100x Purple, and 450x Black.
Keiser av en Dimensjon Ukjent: 200x gold, 100x Dark Green, 450x Black.
In conjunction with the reissues, MORTIIS is also making the original Keiser, Ånden and Født recordings available digitally. This marks the first time some that these releases have ever been legally available digitally.
MORTIIS teamed up with Plastic Head for the digital distribution of both original and remastered versions of all 3 albums.

The Dark Pop anthem “Black”, from the top-5-album “Leitbild” is the title track and starting point for Blutengel's brand-new mini-album, which also contains five new and previously unreleased songs from the Berlin-based group. “Black” is released as a CD and on limited vinyl.
It has become a sort of tradition that Blutengel always put out a second, companion-release of sorts, in the same year that they release an album. After the anthemic song “Black” quickly became a fan, and band, favourite on Blutengel's latest tour, Chris Pohl decided to build a mini-album, using it as a centrepiece. The title song is a gripping fusion of the classic Eighties-Gothic-feeling with the trademark Blutengel-sound and is pretty much everything that defines the group in a nutshell. The song is included in the album version and in 2 previously unreleased mixes. These are coupled with 5 new songs that effectively showcase the band's versatility. “Der Letzte Kampf” (=the final battle) and “Komm zu mir” (=come to me) are classic Blutengel-hit-material: catchy, enthralling and full of atmosphere. “Blood Rain” whips up some hard electronica mixed with cutting guitar riffs into a searing club track while the symphonic waltz “Seele” (=soul) is one of the darkest songs the band has recorded in recent history, a tune that wouldn't feel out of place in a victorian gothic flick. “There's No Place” tops off the album with a strong, minimal Electro-Pop-sound. Blutengel play out all their strengths here, while also trying out something new, which makes “Black” an ideal companion piece to the group's latest album “Leitbild”... but one that can also full well stand on its own two feet. Everything is black!
