Today it is exactly 27 years since one of the most succesful EBM bands and founders Front 242 released Tyranny ▶For You◀ (24-01-1991).
Tyranny ▶For You◀ is Front 242's fifth studio album and featured twelve tracks. Three of those tracks were released as separate CD/12" singles; Rhythm Of Time, Mixed By Fear and Tragedy ▶For You◀. Both music videos for Tragedy ▶For You◀ (Directed by Anthon Corbijn) and Rhythm Of Time (Directed by Peter Christopherson of Coil) got a frequent rotation on MTV. The video of Rhythm Of Time also appeared briefly on a TV-set in the background during a scene of the film Single White Female.

ZIALAND reveals the first single “Landslide” from her upcoming record “Unbridled & Ablaze”

The Norwegian artist ZIALAND released the “Landslide” single in December 2017. The single is taken from her upcoming record “Unbridled & Ablaze” which will be released in spring 2018.

Upon returning from Australia, ZIALAND met the British producer and musician John Fryer in Oslo. In 2016, John and ZIALAND worked on two Black Needle Noise songs, “Wild Stone” and “Treasured Lies”.

Her own single “Landslide” is another great discovery. The track is ethereal and floaty, gentle, mystical, melancholic and emotional. However, ZIALAND's vocal performance is intense, sensual and powerful, like the feelings of love she sings about. You can find “Landslide” on Soundcloud, Spotify, iTunes, and Tidal.

Today AMPHI FESTIVAL turn's back the clock to the heyday of the 80s. An era in which we “audio cassette children” (instead of our smartphones) waited mesmerized in front of our radios, circling the record button with our forefinger until they finally played our favorite song! It was the great time of Synthpop, NewWave and that hint of avant-garde that turned pioneering spirit into a time of new heroes!

AMPHI FESTIVAL very proud to announce OMD and MIDGE URE for the Amphi Festival 2018 – two of those exceptional artists who wrote music history worldwide.

Furthermore with GRENDEL, GRAUSAME TÖCHTER and SYNTHATTACK they also have fresh new entrances from the Industrial-Electro scene for you.

ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVRES IN THE DARK, short OMD, attracted impressive attention in 2017 with their album THE PUNISHMENT OF LUXURY on which Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys and Martin Cooper staged the characteristic OMD sound as a declaration of love for the pioneering spirit of the Düsseldorf School of electronic music. Unforgotten are of course the great OMD classics: "Enola Gay", "Souvenir", "Secret", "Sailing On The Seven Seas" and of course the number one hit "Maid Of Orleans" that became the best-selling single of the year 1982 in Germany! For us it is therefore a very special honor to welcome OMD at the Amphi Festival 2018.

The latter fully applies also to MIDGE URE. The likeable Scot landed an absolute coup in 2014 when he captivated the Amphi audience with his performance. Whether as co-founder of VISAGE ("Fade to Grey"), as voice of ULTRAVOX ("Hymn", "Vienna", "Dancing With Tears in My Eyes") or as solo artist ("Breathe", "If I was") - Midge Ure (OBE) is a true gentleman of pop who uses his popularity always for charity projects as well ("Live Aid", "Band Aid"). So the anticipation is rising on this great artist’s further performance at the Amphi Festival and the related pure goose bumps.

Granted, it’s not easy to find a fitting bridge from these giants of the 80s. Nevertheless, we insist on announcing two „new heros“ of the present as well, with the first of them being GRENDEL. The Dutch harsh-electro project around J.D. Tucker began to tread new ways with their recently released 2017 record "Age Of The Disposable Body". By changing the focus to an intriguing mix of industrial-pop elements, GRENDEL expanded their own universe with a refreshingly different vibe.

With their provocative blend of electropunk, industrial and performing arts, GRAUSAME TÖCHTER always draw some serious attention. Nevertheless you should not judge the book by its missing cover. Beneath the skin burns a rebellious fire, resurfacing the temper and anachism of the early punk scene. Relentlessly biting and cruel, Aranea Peel & co. mean business and thei are to give their first stand at Amphi Festival and we're pretty sure it won't last only for one night!
Closing today's announcement, we also welcome Hanover-based industrial formation SYNTHATTACK who will take Amphi Festival’s dance floor by storm with powerful beats and a thrilling show.

no:carrier drops 'Lovesong' video, a cover of The Cure hit in collaboration with Mills and Nadia S.

9 January 2018...Los Angeles, CA...no:carrier, the critically-acclaimed electro-pop band known for its collaborations with international artists, has dropped another with Mills and Nadia S.: The Cure's biggest hit, "Lovesong." (Scroll down to warch the video)
Mills, Nadia S., and Chris Wirsig of no:carrier met at a networking event in Los Angeles and bonded over a fondness for dark, dramatic styles of music, so they decided to team up for a cover song reflecting their shared vision. The Cure's goth rock classic, "Lovesong," gets re-imagined in an epic, orchestral/electronic style – haunting, emotive, breathtaking. Capturing the melancholy of the original, it immerses the listener into the sadness and pain of a relationship unrequited or separated.

no:carrier was founded by composer and producer Chris Wirsig in Germany in 1995. The band has released more than fifteen albums and EPs, often featuring unique singers from all over the world. It is a music project in constant evolution, finding its unique sound through inspiration from dark wave, synthpop, acoustic, and electro genres.
Millie Hansen, aka Mills, is a Los Angeles-based songwriter. She is a Grand Prize Winner in The John Lennon International Songwriting Competition (Gospel Category) and was awarded the top prize for songwriting from ArtistMax (a project of producer Ken Caillat). She was chosen for the prestigious Lester Sill Workshop at ASCAP as well as the songwriting workshop with Grammy winner Dan Wilson (co-writer of Adele's "Someone Like You").
Nadia S. is a pop singer/songwriter based in New York. Her distinctive style, marked by haunting melodies, illustrates scenes in musical form by blending orchestral and sound design elements with her lyrics and melodies.
