Indeed, tonight will be the night where the 2017 Dark Demons selection will present themselves before a live audience. Even more, two of tonight's bands will be chosen by the audience to open this year's edition of BIMFEST on December 15th and 16th at De Casino (St-Niklaas - B).
The final running order will only be announced when the doors open (18h00) so we give them here in alphabetical order:

The two most favoured bands will also be given the opportunity to open up the 16th edition of the renowned Belgian Independent Music Festival in December this year! So let's go and support!

Inderdaad, vannavond is het de avond waarop de Dark Demons 2017 selectie zich zal presenteren voor een levend publiek! Meer nog, twee van deze bands zullen door het aanwezige publiek gekozen worden om het befaamde BIMFEST te openen later dit jaar, op 15 en 16 december, in De Casino (St-Niklaas-B)

Oh ja, misschien ook wel omdat alle bezoekers een stemformulier krijgen waarop ze hun waardering voor elke band kunnen neerschrijven. Long before the rivalry between Oasis and Blur, Radiohead's breakthrough, the emergence of Manic Street Preachers or the era of Franz Ferdinand and Arctic Monkeys, Primal Scream had set the sound of the British music scene. The band originated after singer Bobby Gillespie quit his job as a drummer with legendary The Jesus & Mary Chain and decided to start his own band. Their breakthrough came with the release of the legendary album Screamadelica (1991), on which Primal Scream flawlessly blended genres like indie, rock, gospel, pop and dance to create their own specific sound but their career did not stop there! In 2000, they still managed to surprise friend and foe with the brilliant album XTRMNTR (which music site Pitchfork decried as "somewhere between the kraut-loving Chemical Brothers and latter-era Fugazi”), last year they released the strong album Chaosmosis. In 2013 Primal Scream played the Lokerse Festivals, a memorable concert which newspaper ‘De Morgen’ rated with four stars and described the gig as: “A top Primal Scream concert, over classing the all competition"), on 16th June they are coming to Borgerhout for YOU!
Support is provided by Manngold. A band Cutting Edge (Magazine) once decried as "uncontrolled trance-a-roll", and that might be spot)-on. So be on time!
Vinyl only DJ Wagonman aka Luc Waegeman (Kinky Star, Needle & The Pain Reaction, SeXmachines,...) spins from his own collection LPs and singles, both famous and underground cult hits.

First Light - the debut album from Fader, a new band formed by Neil Arthur(Blancmange/Near Future) and Benge (Wrangler/John Foxx And The Maths) - is due out on 23rd June.

The music was recorded and mixed at Benge's MemeTune Studios while Arthur recorded his own vocals in his home studio. The resulting album is full of twisted electronic pop songs and haunting atmospherics with lyrics from Arthur that explore internalised, dead-of-night fears to stream-of-conscious visions of city life and evocative descriptions of lost and lonely figures who find themselves out of time and out of place.

This time they have just announced a double bill event featuring two of the most legendary electro-cross-over and EBM bands, who have been around for three decades and are still kicking ass today... DIE KRUPPS + FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY!!!!!
DIE KRUPPS (D) are one of those early pioneers of Electronic and Industrial music who have inspired bands like FRONT 242, NITZER EBB and many more!
With their first and very industrial sounding album ‘Stahlwerksinfonie’ (1981) the clubhit and cult single ‘Wahre Arbeit Wahrer Lohn’ (1981) and the following albums ‘Volle Kraft Voraus’ and ‘Entering The Arena’, Die Krupps laid down the foundation for what became Electronic Body Music or E.B.M...
In 2015, DIE KRUPPS released their fifth studio album ‘V – Metal Machine Music’ and recently they announced their "V 1/2" release is imminent!
FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY is also one of those influential Electro-Industrial pioneer bands but was formed in Canada by Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber after Leeb left Skinny Puppy. Influenced by early electronic and post-industrial acts such as Cabaret Voltaire, Portion Control, Test Department and Severed Heads Front Line Assembly managed to develop its own sound combining these with the elements of EBM (Electronic Body Music). Just like Die Krupps, Front Line Assembly has never disappeared from the (underground) music scene and still strikes back regularly with new, hard hitting albums, releases and concerts!!!
No doubt this is an unique event that is not to be missed!

Tomorrow! May 25th, Exclusive Belgian 'Best Of' Clubshow by Project Pitchfork @ De Casino - St Niklaas
After their amazing headlining performance at BIMFEST 2015 and on high demand by both the band and their fans BodyBeats Productions succeeded in bringing them back to Belgium, and this time for an exclusive Belgian 'Best Of' club show at the wonderful and cosy venue De Casino, St-Niklaas, B, on the 25th of May.
Project Pitchfork is a German electro band, founded in 1990 in Hamburg. It is among the most successful and influential representatives of the dark electro genre, which one characterizes decided since the early nineties and led to unprecedented results. The two driving forces behind the band until today Peter Spilles and Dirk Scheuber. Because Peter came from Hamburg, and Dirk came from the new federal Eastern states, Project Pitchfork band are considered first "German-German" band at all.
In November 2016 Project Pitchfork released their 16th studio and critically acclaimed album 'Look up, I'm Down Here'.
