One of the bands we hear most from in Belgium are Der Klinke.
In little time they got signed on the German label Echozone and "Square Moon" is an album that should be labelled in the 80's as a wave rock classic.
Smart, powerful, original, danceable, dark...that's Der Klinke!
On 23rd September you can see Der Klinke for free in the Kinky Star-venue in Gent.
The gig starts at 21.30 sharp with a free wave/goth/EBM-party which can be considered as the ideal warming up for the New Wave Club Classix-party at the Vooruit on 24th September.
By the way, don't forget to visit the Kinky Star this Friday 1st July as there's another free gig by Dark Poem and Sol XIX
Not only you can see Portishead play at the big festivals this summer, they are also involved in the prestiguous 'll be your mirror'-festival.
For this festival Portishead made an exclusive mixtape featuring songs by artists like Swans, Anika, Factory Floor, Liars, Beak, PJ Harvey, Caribou and Beach House.
Portishead will be playing on that same festival on 23rd and 24th July at the Alexandra Palace in London. Their guests will be PJ Harvey , Grinderman, Swans and Caribou.
And yes, before we forget: this mixtape is a completely free download!
'Should The World Fail To Fall Apart' by Peter Murphy reissued on Cherry Red
"Should the World Fail to Fall Apart" is the first album by the British solo artist Peter Murphy, formerly of the gothic rock band Bauhaus. It was released in 1986
"Should the World Fail to Fall Apart" is a collection of singles written and recorded in 1986 with L. Howard Hughes with hopes of finding Peter a Post-Bauhaus identity other than the "Godfather of Goth”.
The album displays a side of Peter Murphy rarely heard as the songs are very Romantic and out of the mainstream. The sounds are soft and orchestrated, the lyrics are poetic and deep, atmosphere is spacious, and the general tone is somber and reflective.
This 2CD reissue of the Classic 1989 album comes with a second disc of bonus material, as well as new notes and enhanced booklet It will be released on 22/07/11

Morrissey was one of the headlining acts of this year's Glastonbury and out of a sudden it seemed like the concurrency was surprise act Radiohead.
The new set features a collection of his own solohits, new solomaterial, some songs by The Smiths and a cover from Lou Reed's "Satelitte Of Love", the classic that's featured on "Transformer".
According to some British reviewers the new show by Moz was equal to Smiths-standards. As reported before, you can see Morrissey Thursday 4th August in Belgium at Lokerse Feestren.
