Tom Waits’ official website is hosting "TOM WAITS PRIVATE LISTENING PARTY" for his first studio album of all new material in seven years, BAD AS ME, on Tuesday, August 23rd.
Tune in at 3.00pm GMT / 4.00pm CET on the newssection.
The title track which is also the first single will be available for download purchase at your favorite online retailer on August 23rd.
The single, "BAD AS ME" marks the return of the horns for Waits with the opening growl of baritone sax alongside a piano tango, Cuban electric guitar line, a fat and percussive drum beat and a rockabilly vocal.
The highly anticipated Oct. 24 release of the new album - BAD AS ME - features 13 all new tracks and a deluxe version that will include an additional 3 new songs and a 40 page book of lyrics and photos taken by Waits himself.
It will also be available on 180 gram vinyl which will include the LP and CD, plus full-size 12-page book.

The good news is that on September 15 2011 there is a new EP out from Suicide Inside, coming in "notebook look" (golden metalized carton), with hand-signed photo (available two different photos).

Progress Productions release previously unreleased EP with classic synthpopact Children Within.
Classic swedish synthpopact Children Within has been more or less under the radar since the release of their album "Freedom Of Choice".
However the bands mastermind Joakim Thureby has never stopped making music. This EP called "Spotlight" was recorded shortly after the time of "Freedom Of Choice" but for different reasons it never saw the light of day... until now.
The famous trademarks of the band is all present on this release. Danceable, catchy and with strong production.
"Spotlight" is for sure to become an instant hit on all the electronic pop dancefloors all over the world.
Progress Productions are pleased to bring this band out of the dark and again into the.. Spotlight.
Beside the original mix and a brilliant dancefloor version we are treated with remixes from Robert Enforsen (Hype/Elegant Machinery) and Fiberpunk. Also the wonderful slow track "My Thoughts Belong To No One" is included.

Last night at about the same time as the Pukkelpop disaster in Belgium (so far 5 confirmed death and 140 wounded due to a short but heavy unforseen local storm), the reknowned German punk & wave club Zwischenfall burned down.
According to Zwischenfall's facebook-page the fire started at around 19.00 in the roof of the building that houses the club. Lightning is probably the cause.
The roof has completely collapsed onto the first floor that resided the main hall of the club. The damage has still to be assessed, but the fear has risen that together with the fire the extinguishing water has ruined the main part of the club.
So far no victims have been reported.
Our heart goes out to both the Zwischenfall owners and the victims and their families & friends plus the organisers of the Pukkelpop disaster.
