Home based in Sweden, Autodafeh is a trio consisting of Mika Rossi, Jesper Nilsson, and Anders Olsson.
After their debut album and EP releases found massive success in the European underground charts, the men have been traveling performing live for the ever growing fan base.
They have gone from being the supporting act for inspirational artists such as Front 242, to now being themselves the headliner act.
Autodafeh returns with their third full length album, “Act of Faith”. This twelve track album offers an even more mature and unique identity to the band, while still retaining the EBM roots but still screams out, “We are not the past, we are the future!”
Ten all original songs and two all new bonus versions of previously released songs that have been overhauled and upgraded for 2011!
The album was mastered by the expert ears of Andreas Andersson at Servant Studios. Andreas has long resume that includes mastering music for artists such as Portion Control, Covenant, Run Level Zero, VNV Nation and many more!
The band has found the last year (since the release of chart topping “Identity Unknown”) to be even busier than ever before!
They are in high demand for live performances at festivals (and the smaller club performances alike), remixing for other artists, and providing engineering support for bands that have come to realize that Autodafeh is a force to be reckoned with!
Leæther Strip will be back with a fresh new self-released (world wide) album this fall 2011.
Release date is October 1st, and Pre-sales will start September 20th.
It will not be available in stores, and will only be sold through Claus Larsen and at concerts.
The album has 14 news songs and the first 1000 copies will be a limited edition hand numbered Digi-pack + a CD-ROM filled with new remixes and collaborations in Wav format from some really amazing artists, to be announced when pre-sales start.
Claus Larsen’s statement on the album:
This album has been in my head for many years, and after completing the somewhat aggressive Klutæ album “Electro Punks unite”, I really felt it was time to dig for my roots and to really embrace my melancholic and melodic side more than I have done over the years. The Songs have a very retro electronic sound that most of my listeners knows I love, and on most of the songs you will hear me actually sing like the good boy I also have deep inside. It was a hard job to dig him out.
I have also decided to make this album a fully self-released album. I love and need the direct contact with the listeners and sure I know I will not have a big distributor behind me but to have this contact is more important for me than sales, yes it sounds cheesy , but that’s how I feel.
I’m so excited about this album and I hope you will like my little trip down the dark road of melancholy.
Claus

"Live In London 1982" is the Beat Generation revamped.
Recorded in Brixton four years before the death of Beat legend, this live set features Gysin reciting poems from the late '50s and early '60s, accompanied by a makeshift no wave backing band consisting of Slits bassist Tessa Pollitt (also on cello), Rip Rig Panic, drummer Steve Noble, Penguin Cafe Orchestra percussionist Gile and guitarist Ramuntcho Matta.
Most of the texts were written upon meeting Burroughs, at the time of the invention of the cut-up. The influence that Brion Gysin has had on contemporary music may never be taken fully into account. The music is resolutely avant rock: dissonant, provocative, and largely improvised. Gysin called this session "White Funk".
Live in London 1982 is an interesting document, which will appeal to connoisseurs of William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin's legacy.
