September Mourning Releases 'Children Of Fate' Lyric Video & Announces Kickstarter Campaign Alongside Top Cow Productions
Dark Alternative, Hard Rock Transmedia Project September Mourning have released their "Children Of Fate" lyric video from their upcoming EP due out this fall.
September Mourning is a character that was created by Emily Lazar (aka September) with Mark Silvestri, founder & CEO of Top Cow Productions, Inc. The band alongside Top Cow have announced a Kickstarter campaign to help bring September Mourning's story from the stage to the pages of a comic book. An amazing all female team has been assembled to bring the story to life. The first issue has already been written by Mariah McCourt, illustrated by Summeye Kesgin, and conceptualized by Emily Lazar (September Mourning) & Marc Silvestri. There will be many reward tiers for donations with comic and music gifts to be had, and if the Kickstarter goal is reached, the first issue will be given away digitally for free (follow the link and see the video for more info).
About September Mourning:
September Mourning revives the concept of rock star meets superhero. If Marilyn Manson and Lady Gaga had a kid, it would be September Mourning, who also cites influences as varied as David Bowie, Motionless in White, KISS, Paramore and My Chemical Romance.
“For me, the project is a story, a theatrical art piece,” September explains. “Music is a piece of the backbone, but for this to work, it has to include the imagery and the narrative all symbiotically linked into the whole. Music taps into your innermost being. There’s something very intimate and personal about it.”
The character of September Mourning is a human-reaper hybrid, who feels the need to give some human souls a second chance, and thus toys with Fate. To expound on this narrative, September is working with iconic comic book artist Marc Silvestri, who started out on the original X-Mencomics and went on to form both Image and Top Cow Productions (Witchblade, The Darkness). Together, they are putting together the story of September Mourning in graphic novel form, to accompany, and enhance the storyline and musical message.
September Mourning carries positive passions into its music, which is often operatic, but also completely rock ‘n’ roll in all its majestic glory.
Having toured with Marilyn Manson, September Mourning has already built up an impressive fan base, which she calls her “Children of Fate,” constantly encouraging them to have “the courage to embrace their passion… to allow yourself to follow your heart and not be a slave to your fears. To know that the only boundaries that exist in our lives are the ones we allow.”

Cinema icon Omar Sharif, best known for his legendary roles in classic films ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ and ‘Doctor Zhivago’, died of a heart attack in Cairo yesterday, reports Press Trust of India (PTI).
He was 83.
The Egypt-born actor’s agent Steve Kenis said, “He suffered a heart attack this afternoon in a hospital in Cairo.”
Sharif was nominated for the Oscar for his role in the David Lean-directed film ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ and went on to win a Golden Globe for his performance. It was his first English language role, after appearing in over 20 Egyptian films. In May, his son said the star had been suffering from Alzheimer’s and retired from the industry because of his illness.
He was married to fellow actor Faten Hamama, with whom he worked in the 1953 film ‘The Blazing Sun’. Hamama had starred in many films with Sharif, who was born a Christian and had converted to Islam to marry her. Many people connected Sharif’s illness with the passing of the iconic actress last January, saying that after her death he started to fade gradually.
The actor was born in Alexandria, Egypt and first rose to international fame for his role in 1962's ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ starring alongside Peter O’Toole.
Sharif worked less in recent years and his last role was in the 2013 drama ‘Rock the Casbah’.
He has one film still to be released: a short called ‘1001 Inventions and the World of Ibn Al-Haytham’.
In 2003 he was given a one-month suspended prison sentence and a 1,500 euro fine for headbutting a policeman in a Parisian casino
After two years, he was ordered to attend anger management classes and served two years probation after assaulting a Beverly Hills parking valet.
He was caught on video in 2011 apparently slapping a journalist after she attempted to take a photo with him at the Doha international film festival.
He is survived by his son and two grandsons.

Synopsis
From the writer of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Big Trouble in Little China comes a pop-sci-fi adventure that defies convention and went on to become one of the cult hits of the 80s.
Peter Weller is Buckaroo Banzai, a physicist-neurosurgeon-martial arts master-secret agent-rock star who has just made history with his invention, the Oscillation Overthruster. The Overthruster allows him to travel to the 8th Dimension, but this feat draws the attention of the Red Lectroids, an alien race (led by Christopher Lloyd) who have teamed up with Banzai’s nemesis, the deranged Dr Lizardo (John Lithgow). Lizardo and the Red Lectroids are seeking the Overthruster to take over the world and Banzai, with his team of agents/band musicians, The Hong Kong Cavaliers, must stop them before it’s too late!
With strong references to sci-fi and pop culture that span Thomas Pynchon and Orson Welles, Buckaroo Banzai is a film made by fans for fans and counts filmmakers including Wes Anderson and Kevin Smith among its admirers.
