The newest full-length album of Anna von Hausswolff starts like experiments – with organic sounds yelling in the state of disconnecting agony. Von Haussfolff makes everyone around trembling, radiating the energy. In this sense, it should be stressed that artists’ desire to limit themselves not always makes a bad. A good example would be Tony Levin’s “Resonator” built on percussive sounds of Warr guitar and occasional quiet-drum-parts. “All Thoughts Fly Sweden” is a different case. The wish to limit herself led to Anna’s discovery of a whole new musical landscape. She doesn’t always use the sounds of organ in a typical way. The first stress is always on atmosphere. And on different layers of sounds that create the whole picture - a surrealistic journey through the monuments of an ancient world. The world that gets a little bit bigger with each note and sound, part of the composition that won’t but resonate with you becoming a part of this, a very personal discovery.
