What to do when you find yourself in an old church in the middle of the night in some small village (almost) in the middle of nowhere? Well, why not make some brilliant music? And that’s exactly what Winne Clement did.

Winne is an Belgium based artist, a very talented builder and player of divers native flutes from all around the world. Making and playing these instruments is his life’s passion that is shown on this new solo album.

On this album you can hear a beautiful selection of different flutes: the Slovakian fujara, the Moldavian kaval, overtone flutes and even an experimental flute that’s been born out of Winne’s mind. This album brings you not 1 but 11 beautiful and interesting worlds. Every improvisation has their own wonderful atmosphere and soul. And still you have the feeling of one big story that’s being told.

Both them who just want to listen and those who let their fantasy go wild as flute-nerds get what they need on here. Storytelling and playing technique of the highest quality.

Another thing I really like about this release is the lack of glitter and glamour. A simple CD-case, simple titles like Impro 1, Impro 2,... There’s only the music, just like it should be. Let the music do it’s magic and dream of the most exotic and wonderful fantasies you can think of!
