What a great sound! After a bad day at work I returned to the comfort of my home and put on a record of Tomorrow We Sail. It brought me instantly into their world filled with melancholy and peace. These 7 musicians from Leeds make you dream away on their fourth release.
Ambient with multi-layered classical vocals and traditional instruments , the songs build up to a great release of feelings, beautiful played and never boring ! songs like the singles "White rose" and "For rosa" keep drowning in your head! References for me are Sigur Ros , Nick Cave (the slow parts) and Grown Below (if it was heavier it could be doom metal) but it is very hard to compare with anything since Tomorrow We Sail has a very original and unique sound.
The songs "Never goodbye", "December" and "Testament" form one piece that is 17 minutes long and it’s about the lost generation of WW1.
It was a pleasure hearing & reviewing this cd!.
