Y2112Y is the new (concept) album from 32crash (for those who still don’t know: feat. Jean-Luc De Meyer from Front 242, Len Lemaire from Implant and Jan D’Hooghe known from Vive la Fete/Implant). According to me 32crash becomes more and more the natural heir of Cobalt 60, especially if you listen to the last song on the Twelve album ‘That Day’. EBM, guitars, SF-voice over, stuff you can dance to, nice and less nice stories, … Y2112Y is a nice concept album about aliens, time and space travel, nature (the way we waste our beloved planet earth) … 20 songs with as highlights ‘100Y’, ‘Attack Of The Aliens’, ‘What Happened Here’, ‘Hyperreal’ (could be a smashing hit on the dancefloor), ‘Elegy For Himself’, Kryptonically Yours’ and ‘A Tiny Foil Of Oil’. An absolute must have for the fans of Implant, Front242 and Cobalt 60!
