Spencer Moody (vocalist for The Murder City Devils) will release his solo-single on September 9 via Riot House Records. The A-Side track "Single Car Accident" is a droning trip with equal parts blues and desert rock. Think The Murder City Devils on a desert peyote trip with Josh Homme and Billy Gibbons. Spencer enlisted Reignwolf's rhythm section - Joseph Braley and David Rapaport - for the drum and bass backbone to these tracks.
So far the promo talk. I can only agree on the description of the genre. I hated the vocals: pointless screaming that misses the melody. It felt like parying for rain in the desert! The music seemed to lead me into the dry desperation, but I got so much nice things in my life that I ended up somewhere else...
So bye bye Spencer Moody!
