When you put creative souls together, something happens. Musical and textual inspiration slowly form a song. Then when those souls are Mika Goedrijk (This Morn Omina, Sygo Cries, Les Nuits Blanches), Mael Desoubry and Olivier Moulin a.k.a. Specteur (The Mars Model), you get a band like Plan C.

Plan C has its first EP out, titled Rewind.

As an appetizer, we already got the single 'Tuesday Skeleton'. Gin Devo signed on to contribute to this industrial song. It is a solid, industrial metal song.

And with that the tone is set. Because 'Fight Or Fly' is also a relentless cutting industrial metal song. Halfway through, Olivier's synths get a little space, but soon the guitars overwhelm things again.

And on 'My Machine Gun', Plan C gets the vocal support of Hans Verbeke. Once the forntman of the West-Flemish hardcore band Liar, today, together with Oliver Moulin, frontman of The Mars Model. This song does stand out. At the start, a rather techno-like vibe runs rampant. Halfway through, the guitars tear up again and you can hear Hans sing out heavily. The synths contribute to a softer sound. Well: what you call soft...

'Nightlife' is the fourth and final song on this first EP. Jana Komaritsa lends her voice. The industrial vibe is a little less present. The electro gets more space.

Plan C has a fresh sound. If they can bring this live, then Belgium has already gained another fine band. In a genre we have a little less of in Belgium. For me they may go wild!

Als je creatieve zielen samenzet, gebeurt er iets. Muzikale en tekstuele inspiratie vormen langzaam een song. Als die zielen dan Mika Goedrijk (This Morn Omina, Sygo Cries, Les Nuits Blanches), Mael Desoubry en Olivier Moulin a.k.a. Specteur (The Mars Model) zijn, dan krijg je een band als Plan C.

Plan C heeft een eerste EP uit, getiteld Rewind.

Als voorafje kregen we al de single Tuesday Skeleton. Gin Devo tekende present om aan deze industrial song een bijdrage te leveren. Het is dan ook een stevige, industrial metal song.

En daarmee is de toon gezet. Want ook Fight Or Fly is een niets ontziende snoeiharde industrial metal song. Halfweg krijgen de synths van Olivier even wat ruimte, maar al snel overdonderen de gitaren de zaak weer.

En bij My Machine Gun krijgt Plan C de vocale steun van Hans Verbeke. Ooit de forntman van de West-Vlaamse hardcoreband Liar, vandaag frontman bij The Mars Model, samen met Olivier Moulin. Deze song springt er wel uit. Bij aanvang tiert welig een eerder techno-achtige vibe. Halfweg scheuren de gitaren weer en hoor je Hans zwaar uithalen. De synths dragen ertoe bij dat het toch wat zachter klinkt. Enfin: wat je zacht noemt...

Nightlife is de vierde en laatste song op deze eerste EP. Jana Komaritsa leent haar stem. De industrial vibe is iets minder aanwezig. De electro krijgt meer ruimte.

Plan C heeft een frisse sound. Als ze dit live kunnen brengen, dan is België alweer een fijne band rijker. In een genre dat we iets minder hebben in ons Belgenlandje. Van mij mogen ze compleet los gaan !
