Sometimes it just happens, a record that gets you. And if it comes unexpected, it just feels good.
Rammsier is a duo from Lumajang, which is a part from Indonesia. And let’s be honest: how many goth or dark wave bands of Indonesia do you know? If you’re not from that region and you can come up with one Indonesian (goth) band, then you mist be a genius in music, simply because Europeans know nothing about the music scene over there. But mind you, once you heard Rammsier, that will change completely as the music is amazing!
The core of Rammsier is Marilyn’s ethereal voice that’s between Elizabeth Fraser and Anneli Marian Drecker of Bel Canto. Heavenly, a perfect angelic and fragile voice that leads you through dark wave pop which comes close to the minimal (almost Icelandic) ice cold sounds, all made in Indonesia!
The duo just released a brand new EP that contains three original songs and three remixes. Everything’s perfect, and definitely a band to discover (and to never forget!).
