The German synthpop duo 6ct HUMOUR release with “Djuel” a five track EP. Biggest problem is that both singers sound like they are over-stretching their vocal cords. Listen for instance to (especially) ‘Venture And Dream’ and ’Wieder Mal’. Musically it sounds OK although it’s not really adventurous. The single ’Dual’ (which appears as a ’single version’ and ’duality mix’) is probably the best the band has to offer. Although the singing still isn’t great the music and the song itself got the right mood and groove. The humour is preserved for the end. The last song ‘I’ve Got To Go’ is a funny German/ English sung cover of ‘Wooden Heart (Zum Städele Hinaus)’ from Elvis Presley. It doesn’t save the record, but it’s funny as hell.
