CONTROLSTATE

These guys are from Ypres (Belgium) and really amazed me with their fresh and powerful sound! I absolutely like the bass player, the drums, sliding and firing guitars and above all the clean and screaming vocals! There are enough tempo switches to keep it interesting and they really try to avoid bringing the same structure over and over like some bands do! This CD was stuck in my car for a few weeks, somehow it felt good to go out and play it loud in the car, even afterwards on my MP3 it was still great to keep listening to this really nice album! It's one of these rare pearls from Belgium! I'm sure that if the next album is a little bit better (but where to improve?) they end up signing a big label!

I hope they - at least - tour a lot with this one and reach a respectable amount of people!
