It’s not very original to say that a synthpopband sounds like Depeche Mode, but I’m sure Fredrik Nero (vocals) and Niklas Hugosson (synths, backing vocals) will forgive me for this. And besides, there’s nothing wrong when you’re influenced by them, especially as you have something self to offer yourself.
This duo already have an album out named Reflections From The Back Row, and now they’re striking back with an EP. There are five songs on here and the songs have the melodic force from the DM-album Construction Time Again, while the instruments are nicely Kraftwerkesque. You’ve heard it before, and perhaps the vocals should have some more power, but at least it’s good…in fact more than good. I already clicked three times on the repeat button to hear New World and yes, this is it! Well, let them take you on a synthetic journey…
