Do you like bands who want to remain obscure? Welcome to the world of Foretaste. The only thing we know of this French duo is that XX is the voice, XY the machine and that together they are Foretaste.
So no, dear music connoisseurs, that’s all we know. Anyway, who needs irrelevant information. This duo is around for more than ten years and is popular among many synthpop lovers. Space Echoes is Foretaste’s fifth album, and just like the other albums is has been released on the French BOREDOMproduct that also has Celluloide and Neutral Lies under its wings.
Fans can be assured, on this new CD Foretaste just sounds like Foretaste, and for those who do not know what this means: icy synth pop with warm melodies. Most of the songs have some heavy beats, while the female vocals remind us of Saint Etienne. Foretaste is a synthpop band that shows that you don't need to be a Depeche Mode clone to mean something in this genre.
