We don't want your pity but most of the time reviewers get a slap, as their reviews aren't analytical enough or they don't give enough information. But what do you do when you get a CD from a band who prefer to do everything in a more anonymous way and refuse to classify their music in a certain category? Then you have indeed the kind of review which seems like hog wash.
Anyway, we know that this band is a duo from Kowa and Thomskin, whose goal is to create something timeless and contradictory. The process of this album took nine(!) years and was recorded in six days. What about the bloody music itself, you ask?
Well, Six Times Zero made me add a new genre to our database which is “dark pop”. Music that sounds a bit like Crime & The City Solution and if that’s all too vague for you, let’s say Nick Cave without the touch of the master.
Interesting? Yeah sure. Difficult? Come on, skip to the next review!
