We get so many singles at our office that it is hard to make a selection. It is a shame, but a day only lasts 24 hours and you simply can’t listen to everything, but the fact that the new single by this Brooklyn-based band is produced by Xavier Paradis of Automelodi was enough reason to give it a listen, and we’re glad we did!
Vanessa Irena, Frank Deserto, Barrett Hiatt and Greg Fasolino do nothing new, but they are clearly deeply in love with the sound of This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins and I guess bands like Chandeen. The ethereal voice of Vanessa fits perfect with the dreamy tunes. Dreampop to, well, dream away on!
